Welcome, Infraimus a Nokia 5.3 and today I'll show you how to go to the setup process of this phone
0:14
So when you put it up for the first time, you'll be presented with this screen right here
0:19
and now it is right now in Polish, but there's also a high chance that it's probably going to be in English
0:23
or whatever the region you are located in language. So, let's stop on a drop-down and find our desired language, which for me is going to be English
0:35
And from here, let's go stop on the Let's Go. On the next page, we can insert our SIM card
0:41
Now this step is optional. You can insert it right now if you want to, or just later on after the setup if you don't feel like doing it right now
0:49
It really won't change much. Next page, Wi-Fi connection. So in here you can connect to Wi-Fi
0:56
Now this step again is optional, assuming the device isn't FRP locked
1:03
If it is, then you will need to connect to Wi-Fi and you won't be able to skip it
1:07
But if it's not, you can simply skip it. Now I will mention that by skipping Wi connection you also miss out on the automatically set time and date which without internet you will have to either check if it correct or set it up yourself And also you won have the option to log into Google account throughout the setup
1:27
Now all those options can be changed later on after the setup is complete, so don't worry
1:31
about that. So I'm going to set it up in offline as something I can
1:38
And there's the date and time, so it looks like it is almost correct
1:44
So I'm going to set up that time
1:56
So now it is correct. Let's stop on next. Now we have Google Services
2:03
So here we have things like location, scanning, and sending user and diagnostic data
2:07
Now if you're interested in what exactly all these options do, we can tap on this little error
2:12
right here to expand the list and read basically the full explanation of it
2:18
But the brief version of it is location uses GPS tracking and stuff like that to basically
2:24
get on your position on the map. And that is used most commonly by apps, for instance, like Google Maps
2:33
So it gives you an accurate route to your destination Now it is also used by apps that have zero business in this primarily every app that decides to jam the word smart into it like smart homes smart appliances
2:46
smart whatever, smart data gathering, I would call it. So yeah, those apps don't have any business
2:53
in it, but then they will require it and without it they just will tell you, nah, we ain't working
2:58
until you give us your location. So just keep that in mind. Now, apart from the
3:04
that. Below that we do have the allow scanning which allows the phone to basically scan
3:10
for nearby devices or maybe nearby signals will be a more accurate explanation so
3:16
things like Wi-Fi Bluetooth stuff like that. And then below that we have sent user
3:21
and diagnostic data which basically does what it says. It gathers data on you and
3:25
how you use the device and then sends it to Google. Now the explanation for it is so
3:30
they can improve the usability of it but let's be honest it's
3:34
probably little to do with that. But as you can see also you can disable all of these
3:40
if you don't want them and progress further. Next page we can set up a screen lock
3:47
so here you can by default set up a pin along with a fingerprint. So if you press
3:52
next it will first tell you to set up a pin and then it will go to the fingerprint So I can actually skip it because I don really feel like setting it up
4:05
And then it prompts us to also use a face ID to unlock our phone
4:11
So if you press yes it's again going to go back to telling you to put in a pin and then scan
4:17
your face. Now if you want to protect your device you can do it by setting it one of the other ones
4:24
and also if you don't want to use pen, you can change it to also pattern or password
4:28
Just basically on the screen where it tells you to put in something, you have a couple different options
4:36
So face unlock pattern, pen or password. So choose whichever one you want
4:44
And again if you try to skip it, it looks like it goes straight up to pin, which you can again change it right here to pattern or password
4:51
I'm going to skip it anyway. and just click on Let's Go, which I believe should be right about done with the setup
5:00
Yep, there we go. So that is how you can go through the setup of this phone
5:04
