Welcome, in front of me is the Oppo Find X2 Pro and today I will show you how to enable
0:12
and set up the portable hotspot. And to get started, let's find the toggle for it somewhere in the notification panel
0:20
So it looks like it's right here for me, personal hotspot. Now once you find it, you do want to hold it
0:26
If you're doing this for the first time, hold it, this will take you to almost the settings
0:32
So you want to tap right here, personal hotspot or personal hotspot settings
0:37
And you can change the name if you want to. By default, it's always going to be the name of the device
0:44
So in this case, it's Oppo Find X2 Pro, obviously. And that is the name of the Wi-Fi that you will be looking for once you enable the hotspot
0:53
So that's why you might want to change it or you might want to leave it as it is. It's completely up to you
0:58
Now the thing that I do recommend you to change is the password. As you can see by default, this is just some random garbage
1:03
So let's just remove this one and set our own. Now it does need to have eight characters in length, at which point you will be able
1:10
to save it. And below that, we also have a P-band. So we have 2.4 or 5 GHz
1:18
And with this one, I do recommend you to at least try the 5 GHz one
1:22
This is something completely different than the 5G capability of like the mobile networking
1:29
This is strictly for Wi-Fi and it's been out for way longer than the 5G that we have right now
1:35
And the reason why I recommend you to try it out is because the connection on Wi-Fi
1:39
connection on the 5 GHz one will be faster and more stable of a connection comparing
1:44
to 2.4 GHz. But the downside is not every device might support it
1:49
If you're using some outdated device, some old computer or maybe some old phone to connect
1:55
to this hotspot with, then if it simply doesn't see your created hotspot by whatever name
2:01
is right here for you, then that just means that it doesn't support 5 GHz
2:05
And all you need to do is just go back here and change it back to 2.4 instead and it should
2:11
work just fine at that point. So anyway, from here, make sure I save it
2:18
I did actually realize we do have also option for Wi-Fi 6, but at this point I'm not sure
2:24
if it's worth even mentioning. Not very many devices support Wi-Fi 6, but if you want you can try it out
2:31
So this will basically make the Wi-Fi even faster. But like I said, this is a relatively new technology, so fairly limited amount of things
2:42
are supporting it right now. So anyway, let's save it and from here you can simply find the toggle, tap on it to turn
2:49
it on and this will enable your hotspot. And once you're done with it, make sure you turn it off, otherwise you will be using your
2:57
phone's battery for no reason, because it does use more battery. So yeah, tap on the toggle, turn it off
3:06
And that being said, this is how you would set it up and use the hotspot. And if you found this video helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks for watching
