Welcome and follow me is a Sony Xperia 10 Mark IV and today I'll show you how you can hard reset
0:06
this phone through recovery mode. Now this process removes things like screen lock so if you have one
0:14
that you don't know you can get rid of it. Now I do warn you if you have also google account and
0:19
some kind of protection it will make the device FRP locked so once the process is finished you
0:25
will need to verify that though I'll also make a video later on how to basically bypass bypass this
0:32
and also remove it if you're interested. So anyway I did lock the device as you've just seen and
0:38
there's my pattern right here so I will progress from the lock screen as though I don't know my
0:43
pattern and number one you will want to hold power key and I think it's volume up yep volume up this
0:50
will bring up our boot option so simply select power off. Now once the device turns off you will
0:57
want to hold power key and I think it was volume down though I guess we'll find out if I am correct
1:06
or not actually you know volume up so uh second thing once the phone turns off give it like 20
1:15
seconds before you start holding those keys so I think sufficient amount of time has passed now so
1:21
power key volume up. Now there will be a vibration so let go of the power key
1:38
it looks like it turned on normally though so that's not what we're looking for let's try it again
1:48
so I'm gonna try volume down instead I'm actually gonna grab the phone in my hand
1:52
it's just much easier to press the key while holding it normally
1:58
okay so it was volume down so as you've seen I did the same thing as before just switch it from volume up to volume down so power key volume down when you feel a vibration let go of the power key but keep holding volume down and this will take you to the recovery mode now from here you will need to use volume keys to navigate to the
2:28
options as you can see and using those keys you want to select wipe data factory reset and then
2:35
confirm it with power key and select factory data reset confirm that will give you formatting data
2:42
message at the bottom and then data wipe complete at which point reboot system now will be selected
2:48
by default so press power key once again this will initiate that reboot and it will continue the
2:53
process in the background while the device is booting up so it will take it a little bit longer
2:58
than you might be used to but once the process is finished we will be presented with android setup
3:03
screen so I'll be back once that is visible okay and as you can see the process is now finished and you can set up your device however you like and like I mentioned also before if your device becomes FRP locked which I believe would be visible with a lock though the device should be locked for me too and I don't see it so I don't know
3:47
but if it becomes locked where you need to verify your google account or the previous
3:50
account that was logged into this device then I'll make a video also on how to bypass so you
3:55
can follow up with that one anyway if you found this very helpful don't forget to hit like subscribe

and thanks for watching
