Welcome, in front of me is a Motorola Moto G10 and today I'll show you a couple tweaks
0:12
and tricks you can do on this phone. So starting off, we're going to begin with the dark theme, which can be enabled by just
0:17
pulling down the notification panel and finding the dark theme toggle. Tap on it and there we go, we are now in the dark mode
0:25
Now this mode will extend over to basically all the Google default apps, so messages
0:30
dialer, browser settings, stuff like that, will basically all be in dark mode, while
0:36
apps that you download from Play Store might not be supported, so just keep that in mind
0:43
Now moving on to the next option, it's going to be the attentive display, which basically
0:51
keeps the screen on whenever you're looking at it. So let's first find it, so again let's go into the settings and from here we're going
1:00
to go into the display section and tap on advanced and find the attentive display, which
1:08
there we go. Check it on, allow while using app and turn on and there we go
1:14
And basically what it will do is use the front camera to detect if you're looking at the
1:17
device or not, and if it detects that you are looking at it, it will keep the screen
1:22
on, light up, as long as you look at it. The moment you lay the phone, for instance move it away like so, it will wait the, not
1:30
wait but for instance start the countdown that it's set to, so what is it, like a minute
1:35
or so before the display starts to fall asleep, and well then it's just going to lock the
1:39
device as normally. Now moving on to the next option, it's going to be live caption
1:46
Now this option I understand might not be for everybody, but for the people that will
1:49
find a use for it, it probably will be a really nice feature
1:54
So basically what it does is listens to whatever sounds are on the device and then gives you
2:00
captions for it. Now these captions will appear basically on the middle of the screen, but it does do it
2:06
fairly well, although with a little bit of a latency. Now to actually enable this, let's go again into the settings, but this time around we're
2:13
going to go to accessibility and find the live captions. There we go, live caption, and simply turn it on, got it, and you can also enable the
2:32
high profanity if you want to. So yeah. Now I'm actually not going to hide the profanity, but I'm going to keep it as it is, even though
2:41
I won't really get to show you that. I could enable, or not enable, but open up YouTube just so you can see how it actually works
2:50
So I'm going to see if I mute it, if it will work or not
2:58
So you can already see it just popped up. Even though you can't hear anything, it is basically system-wide, so on the system there
3:07
is sound going, the phone knows what's supposed to be coming out, even though the volume is
3:12
right now muted. So let's give it a couple taps just to move it forward, and there you go, you can see it
3:20
Now like I said, the actual live captions are a little bit behind, so when you're listening
3:26
to this, it will be about a second or two behind, because it first needs to hear the
3:31
sounds and then actually transcribe them for you to actually see them
3:35
So it does take a little bit. Now additionally also, on top of that, it will use a little bit more battery when it's
3:41
enabled, because it does need to basically constantly listen to what's happening in the
3:45
background and try to give you that captions right here. I'll give it a moment and it should disappear
3:56
There we go. So moving on to the next option, it's going to be the system navigation
4:04
So this will allow you to remove these Pascal buttons from the bottom if you don't like them
4:10
So let's start off by going into the settings. Again we're going to go into the accessibility and find system navigation
4:19
So there it is, system navigation. And from here you can select gesture navigation
4:26
And there we go. We are now in the gesture navigation. So the way this actually works is you swipe up to go home, swipe up and hold to go to
4:34
recent and then swipe from the sides to go back, which will bring up this arrow to indicate
4:40
that you do actually, well, that you have actually got the gesture correctly
4:46
Now additionally, if you have never used this, you might have a little bit of a problem with it
4:54
If you do, I can give you a little bit of a pointer on how to use this so it works basically
4:58
flawlessly. So when it comes down to the back gesture with a swipe up, you don't want to try to
5:05
grab this bar. What you want to do is basically swipe your finger from off the screen
5:09
So as you can see, I'm not even on the screen right now. And basically you swipe up, off of it, onto it
5:16
And that will ensure that you basically always have the gesture correctly
5:23
Now moving on to the last option that I wanted to show, it's just going to be the simple
5:27
remove animation. Now, again, this might not be for everybody, but some people will most certainly find use
5:33
for it, basically shortening their wait time when applications are sliding up, out, down
5:39
fading in, out, which basically you can remove all of that. Now we do it by going into the accessibility once more and find the remove animation toggle
5:49
turn it on, and there we go. And now as you can see, certain animations are completely instant
5:54
So as an example, going into recent instantly appears, going into an app instantly appears
6:02
So yeah. But that being said, this concludes all the tweaks and tricks I wanted to share
6:08
And if you found this very helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe, and thanks for watching
