Welcome, FNOMI is a Microsoft Surface go-to and today I'll show you how to
0:12
reset this device. So this will remove all the data from the computer and just
0:17
keep the clean windows on it. So to get started if you are using this right now
0:23
without a keyboard you will need to pop it in. We will need a keyboard for this
0:27
and what you want to do is tap on the start button, start right here, then select
0:34
the power options as you can see right here. Sorry for the angle that it is
0:38
right now I'm gonna maybe lay it down just a little bit at least for now. And
0:42
once you have these options visible you want to hover over the reset and
0:48
while you're hovering over this while holding shift, hold shift you want to
0:55
press restart. You can see I'm holding it right now and there we go it boots into this mode right here. So from here I think I should
1:10
be able just to click on it though the touchscreen looks works a little bit
1:13
iffy on here but from here we're gonna select troubleshoot and then we can
1:20
select reset this PC or we can also go into advanced option which also gives
1:25
us a little bit more options. The reset is just a little bit of a straightforward
1:29
option. So in here you can select system restore or let's say I'm gonna go back
1:40
to here and actually see reset this PC. Okay so here we actually have a
1:46
couple options anyway so the reset this PC we have keep my files or remove
1:51
everything. Now depending on which one you want I will select the one that you
1:56
want. I obviously want to remove everything so I'm gonna stick with the second option and basically now the device will start doing whatever it's
2:05
gonna be doing and this will take some significant amount of time so be
2:09
prepared. I do actually recommend you to grab a cable for charging and plug it in
2:16
which is what I'm gonna be doing because the battery life on here at least on
2:20
this device was like a 20% maybe so I don't want it to die in the middle of
2:25
the process. So there we go. You can see it's right now going right now it's
2:30
actually off but it's right now gonna be doing this for quite a while
2:34
Wait what is this? Reset this PC. How would you like to reinstall Windows
2:40
cloud or local reinstall. Now we have two options obviously I'm gonna go with a
2:47
local I don't even know if we can do with cloud one here even though it's an option and yeah it's just gonna start doing it right now. So I'm gonna let this
2:57
run for probably like half an hour I think that's how long it's gonna take it or about so yeah I'm gonna be back once it's near the end. We have one more
3:08
option set this PC full clean the drive or just remove my files. I believe these
3:14
two options will define on how long this will take you with the process if you do
3:19
that just remove my files will most likely take significantly quicker to
3:24
finish up but if you do a clean a fully clean the drive it removes Windows and
3:29
then reinstalls it. So I think this one will take way longer. Now I want to do a
3:34
clean install anyway so that's what I'm gonna do here anyway and is there going to be
3:41
anything else? Okay so let's select reset and now it's doing the thing so let it run and once
4:07
it's finished I will come back nearly the end to continue. Oh boy oh boy that took a while so there we go as you can see this took quite some
4:25
time I think it was like over 30 minutes basically you're now presented with the
4:31
setup screen of Windows and obviously you can go through it however you want but this is how you could restart or back to reset your Windows here and if
