hard reset this device through recovery mode. Now doing so will also allow you to

get rid of a screen lock if you have one set that you just don't know

Now I'll mention this right off the bat so if your device is logged into a

Google account and also you want to do this to remove a screen lock then the

device will become FRP locked and what that means is when you're going through

the setup of this device once the reset is finished you will be forced to verify

one of the two methods that were previously used as a protection on this phone. So one would be the Google account and the second one is the screen lock

I'm gonna quickly set it up. There we go. So I'm gonna progress from here as though I don't know my pattern
