Welcome! In front of me is a Samsung Galaxy S24 and today I'll show you how you can hard
0:05
reset this device through recovery mode. Now that being said, doing so will also allow you
0:14
to get rid of a screen lock. Do keep in mind that when doing such a reset with intention to remove
0:20
a screen lock, usually the device has a Samsung account or Google account and once the reset is
0:25
finished you would need to verify one of those accounts assuming if it's Samsung is signed in
0:31
it obviously will pick Samsung. Both of them again Samsung if there's only Google then it will default
0:36
to Google as a verification method and obviously the other verification method would have been
0:41
the screen lock which if you're doing this to remove it then that's not really an option
0:46
Now I'm mentioning this because after such a reset if you don't know either one of those meaning the
0:50
screen lock nor the Google or Samsung account you won't be able to finish up the setup therefore
0:58
you'll be stuck in it with virtually something that you could call an expensive brick
1:03
Now typically I would have been recording a video on how you can bypass this but as far as I know
1:08
right now and for some time Samsung has patched all the vulnerabilities so I don't know any kind
1:14
of method right now that could kind of bypass this. Maybe in the future there will be one but
1:19
like I said this is just like I'm guessing maybe maybe not. Now to get started with that process
1:25
you will need a cable that is plugged into your computer because that's how we access
1:29
recovery mode on Samsung's. So just connect your your cable. Now if you're doing this with the
1:36
purpose of removing a screen like that you don't know you will need to hold your power button and
1:41
volume down while interacting with the display just so you know when it actually times out
1:45
While the people that can just freely turn off their device you can just
1:50
pull down your notifications press on the power button and select power off
1:55
Now that being said I'm gonna do this as though I have a screen like that I don't know so power
1:59
button volume down you do want to interact with the display and once it goes black like this
2:06
switch to volume up. When you see galaxy under let go of the power button keep holding volume up
2:15
and this will redirect us to the recovery mode. Additionally we can also unplug the cable it was
2:23
only needed to get us into this mode. So in here using volume buttons you want to scroll down and
2:28
select wipe data factory reset and then confirm it with the power button select factory data reset
2:36
and then reboot system. Now once it's completed this will obviously initiate a reboot of the device and continue the resetting of it in the
2:44
background. It will take the device a little bit longer to boot back up because it is still
2:48
resetting in the background but once that's completed we will be presented with android
2:52
setup screen. So I'll be back once that is visible for me. And as you can see the process is now finished and you can set up your device
3:04
however you like. So if you found this video helpful don't forget to hit like subscribe and
