Welcome. In front of me is a Xiaomi Mi 11i and today I'll show you how to hard reset

the device through recovery mode. Now this process does remove screen lock if you have

one which looks like I don't so I'm going to quickly set one up

There we go. So now that I have a screen lock I can progress with the reset. So I'll start

off from the lock screen without actually providing any kind of unlocking pattern just so

it is the closest thing to a locked device that I don't know the pattern to

So anyway from here let's hold the power key and select power off

which as you can see doesn't require pattern just turns off and from here

once it's off you want to hold power key and the volume up both of the keys at the same time

Now once you see the Mi logo as you can see just let go of the keys and this will take you to the

recovery mode and in here I believe we only need nope we don't need to use volume keys we can't

touch it so using volume keys you want to select the middle option wipe data confirm it with power

then select wipe all data and select confirm and there we go. Now this process here is fairly quick as you could see it only gets like 10

at which point it gives you the message data wipe successful so let's press power key once more

and once more and once more and this will reboot the device and continue the process in the

background. Now this will take a little bit longer for the device to boot up because it is continuing

the process in the background but once it's finished it will boot into the android setup
