Welcome. I'm filming this a Cad S61 and today I'll show you how to hard reset the device through the recovery mode

Now for this process we will need a cable that is plugged into your computer. As you can see I do have one prepared for this

And from here once you have that let's start off by powering off our device. So power key, select power off

And while it's turning off you do want to pop that little cover off

And not insert the cable all the way, just kind of like place it in there. As you can see it's just kind of loose right now

So before you insert it you want to hold volume up on the phone. And from here simply plug it in

And continue to hold volume up. And there we go. This will take you to the recovery mode

So from here we can unplug the cable, it's not needed anymore

And using volume keys you want to navigate to this menu in order to select wipe data factory reset

And once it's selected press power key. And then again let's select yes

It will give us a message that formatting data then data wipe complete will be the next one

There we go. At which point reboot system now should be selected by default

So press power key once more to initiate the reboot of the device

Now this will take a little bit longer than we're probably used to for the device to turn back on

That is due to the fact that it is continuing the process in the background

Factory reset and once it's finished we will then be greeted with the Android setup screen

So I'll be back once that is visible. And as you can see now the process is finished and you can set up your device as however you like
