Welcome, and follow me as an Amazon Fire HD 10 and today I'll show you how you can hard
0:06
reset this device through recovery mode. Now this will also allow you to get rid of screen locks if you have one set that you
0:16
just don't know. Now I don't have any screen locks that I don't even have the device set as you can see it's
0:22
still in the setup screen but this won't change anything. So we're going to start off by holding our power button and then you want to select
0:30
power off. Once the device turns off you want to hold your power button and the volume, I'm not
0:40
exactly sure which volume that is to be completely honest, down I think, it's going to be the
0:46
one that is closer to your headphone jack. So it's going to be here and your power button
0:54
As you can see I'm holding both of them right now. Now once you see the Amazon logo let go of the power button and then once you see this
1:04
screen right over here you can also let go of your volume up key
1:11
So that was volume up. Now in here using both volume keys you will want to select wipe data factory reset like
1:22
this and then confirm it with your power button. Select yes. Now at the bottom you will see that it's formatting data and then data wipe complete at which
1:33
point reboot system now will be selected by default. So we're just going to confirm it now by pressing our power button
1:40
I'll be right to this. I'm just going to show this I guess in this kind of way just so you can see the entirety
1:46
of it. Confirm it and it's going to now initiate a reset or reboot and continue resetting the
1:53
device in the background. It will take it about a minute or so to finish up and once completed we will be presented
1:59
with the setup screen. So I'll be back once that is visible for me
2:07
And there we go. If you found this very helpful don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks for watching
