Welcome, in front of me is a Nokia 5.3 and today I'll show you how to put the device
0:11
into safe mode. So to get started all you need to do is hold power key and when you see the boot options
0:18
hold power off option. This will bring up this window reboot to safe mode
0:23
So let's confirm it by tapping on OK and while this is rebooting I'm gonna quickly describe
0:27
what this mode is for. So hypothetically if your device is malfunctioning as an example, battery is discharging too
0:35
quick or something is just not working properly you could boot the device into safe mode which
0:41
will therefore disable any kind of third party application, anything that I have installed
0:45
from the Play Store is basically disabled and only the most essential apps, the default
0:50
apps will be working in this mode. And that will allow you to basically keep on using the device and test if the problem
0:57
that you had persists in safe mode. If it does then you then have a bit of an answer that whatever your problem is it's
1:05
most certainly not based with Android and anything that you have installed or downloaded
1:09
but just with the hardware itself. But if the problem stops then that means that you just have some kind of virus I suppose
1:17
or some kind of malicious application or something that is messing up with your phone
1:22
Now as you can see once the device boots back up you should see the safe mode watermark
1:27
at the bottom just so you are certain that you are in the desired mode
1:32
And yeah basically only the pre-existing apps will be working in here, anything else is
1:37
basically disabled. Unfortunately I don't have any kind of installed apps on here so I don't have a way to show
1:42
you but if they would be installed I believe they are normally just greyed out and when
1:47
you try to open them they just give you a pop up that they can't be
1:52
So that is how you would boot into safe mode and once you're done with it and you want to leave it again hold power key and this time around simply tap on restart
1:59
And once the device is back on it will be then back in the normal mode
2:14
And as you can see we're now back in normal mode. So if you found this video helpful don't forget to like, subscribe and thanks for watching
