Welcome. In front of me is a Lenovo Tab M11 and today I will show you how you can hard reset this device to do recovery mode
0:10
Now that being said this kind of reset will also allow you to get rid of a screen lock if you have one set that
0:15
you don't know. As you can see I do have one set. I am also gonna check one more thing before I get started
0:21
So let's open up our settings and in here I want to see if I have any kind of account signed in and
0:28
it looks like I do. Now this will become important because when doing this kind of reset to remove screen lock
0:35
when you reset the device and then you're going to the setup process throughout the setup process you will be forced to verify one of the two things either the previously utilized screen lock or the Google account
0:46
that was signed in on this device. So in this case my device will become FRP locked and I will need to unlock it
0:52
But the reason I'm checking this is because the next video I'll be recording is how we can bypass this and then completely remove it
0:58
So for people that might be interested in that stay tuned. That's gonna be the next video I'll be doing
1:03
In any case so starting off from the lock screen. I'm gonna hold my power button
1:11
Select power off. You do need a cable that can plug into your computer
1:16
because that is how we will access recovery mode. So once you have the cable ready hold volume up and volume down at the same time and
1:25
while holding both of those buttons you're just gonna simply plug in the cable. So you can see it shows up with Lenovo. Keep holding and after a couple more seconds
1:46
we should have the recovery mode show up on our screen. There we go
1:50
Once that's visible I can unplug the cable. Get rid of it
1:57
And here using volume buttons navigate you want to select wipe data factory reset like it's selected right now and then confirm it using your power button
2:07
Then select factory data reset. Confirm that. At the bottom you can see formatting data and then we should have data wipe complete. There we go
2:17
Reboot system now will be selected by default so press power button once more and this will now reboot the device and continue the resetting of it in the background
2:24
Now this will take a couple minutes to finish up so just be patient and once it's completed
2:29
the Android setup screen will show up. So I'll be back once that is visible on my device
2:35
And as you can see the process is now finished and you can set up your device however you like
2:54
