Welcome, everyone on this day one plus eight pro and today I'll show you how to enable
0:09
and also set up the do not disturb mode. So to get started, let's pull down the notification panel and find do not disturb mode, which
0:18
should be either here or the next page somewhere. There it is
0:28
So do not disturb mode. So before you actually tap on it, you want to hold it
0:34
And this will take you to the settings where you can customize a little bit further how
0:38
it works. So number one, exceptions are probably one of the more important options here
0:43
You can choose who will be able to reach you even though do not disturb mode is enabled
0:49
So start with calls. Then you have allow calls from stared contacts only
0:54
So this is basically your favorites. You can choose other options like don't allow any calls or from contact only
1:02
So anybody who's on your contact list or anyone which kind of defeats the purpose of this
1:07
mode anyway. Then you have stared contacts because I have none. It kind of wants me to add some
1:15
And also you have allow repeat repeat callers. So if someone calls you twice within a 15 minute period and they're, as an example
1:22
not in the stared contacts, that would be able to call you. If they call you twice, the second time they'll actually be able to call you even though they
1:31
were not part of the ones initially that were able, should be able to
1:37
So a fairly handy option to have enabled, if for instance, someone has some emergency
1:42
with you, they can reach you because usually emergency people will spam the call button
1:47
like there's no tomorrow. So this is just a way for them to actually be able to reach you
1:54
And then you have, whoops, then you have the SMS and messages, MMSs
1:59
You have basically the same options here. So you can choose whichever one you want and just go back once you are satisfied
2:06
And you have also see all exceptions, which will include additional alarms, media sounds
2:11
and stuff like that. Just different kind of sounds. So you can check which one you want or don't want
2:19
And then you also should have a schedule. So there we go
2:23
Now you have turn on, turn automatically. So when you go in here, you have a couple of preset points
2:29
So you have sleeping and event, and you can also add your personal ones
2:34
So let's make a time, name it, whatever you want. And from here, let's start with days
2:42
So you have all the days of the week. By default, they're all selected, but you can change it to, I don't know, for instance
2:49
Monday through Friday without like a couple of days. So let's disable for instance Wednesday
2:55
So now it would be set that Do Not Disturb mode would be turning on Monday, Tuesday
2:59
Thursday, Friday. That one done. Then start time. I'm just going to go with something like a work one
3:08
So nine to five. So let's go nine. Yep, nine. And time, 5 p.m
3:18
There we go. So nine to five. I also have the option alarms can override
3:24
And time, you can just enable that. And if you set some kind of alarm before, you're like, as a reminder for, I don't know
3:33
for you to leave work early, this will override Do Not Disturb mode
3:38
And from there, you have the Do Not Disturb behavior. Once you tap on it, you have the Use Default Settings, Create Custom Settings for the schedule
3:48
So you can also change how this specific one works. If you keep by the default, it's going to use the exceptions that we have set previously
3:56
before we went in here. And from there, once you're done, it automatically will be enabled
4:01
And as you can see, it already is enabled because of the time right now
4:06
So yeah, even though I didn't tap on it, it says Do Not Disturb mode TT, which is the
4:10
name of this schedule. And now it will be turning on basically as it's set and turning itself off
4:20
So you don't even need to tap on it. But if, for instance, you want to, I don't know, enable it on weekend or whatever, when
4:28
it's not going to turn on automatically, you can also simply just tap on it manually and
4:33
it will be enabled till you disable it yourself. So that is how you set up the Do Not Disturb mode
4:41
