Welcome! In front of me is a Motorola Moto Z3 Play and today I'll show you how to transfer
0:13
files from the phone to an SD card or vice versa. So I'm going to launch my camera really quickly
0:19
just so I have a couple photos to move. There we go. So from there let's open up the file app
0:29
So let's just find that first. There we go. Files right here
0:39
Then we want to tap on the bar on the side and at the moment it shows the SD card
0:45
See if we can get that. There we go. You can also tap on the three dots and show
0:49
internal storage so then we'll actually see both key, both storages at the same time
0:55
So from here let's find our photos. So I'm gonna quickly look at it. I think it's gonna be
1:03
that's part of it I think. Let's see if there is more on the
1:08
on the one because I think I took a little bit more than just those photos
1:14
It looks like I did not. So quick thing. Photos, videos that I have captured with the device
1:22
will be located under the DCIM folder. Downloads will contain anything that I have downloaded on
1:28
the device so that would be using either your email or for instance your browser
1:33
Then pictures usually contains screenshots unless they're under the DCIM as well
1:39
But in this case they're in here. And also you have folders like music, movies. Usually
1:48
you have placed everything there yourself. So from there let's find our files. So like I said I'm
1:54
gonna be transferring the photos so they're in here. The DCIM and camera. And what you want to
2:00
do is hold it. It gets selected and you can tap on additional ones to add more than just one. And
2:07
if you want to for instance select an entire folder full of photos you can either just select
2:12
the folder itself or you would do select all right here. So whichever way you want to add both
2:20
both ways works the same. Probably selecting the folder itself will be a little bit more organized
2:26
like so. So once you have the file selected tap on the three dots and choose between copy or
2:33
or move. Move will completely remove it from where it is right now and move it to a new location
2:38
Copy will just on top of that leave the file where it is while adding additional set of those
2:44
same files in a new location. So choose whichever option you want. I'm gonna go with move and then
2:52
I want to move it to an SD card because right now the files are on the phone. So I can either move
2:58
it right here because I'm on an SD card. I could also create a folder by tapping on the three dots
3:05
and then new folder. So that would create a folder there and I can keep it organized and
3:09
just name it for instance DCIM as well and then drop it in there or just I can do it without
3:16
organization and drop it straight into the SD card and now it created a camera folder right here with
3:23
the two files that were inside as you can see. And the same way you can copy any other file
3:29
