My name is EmotorolaRazer5G and today I'll show you how to go through the setup process of the device
0:14
When you boot it up for the first time, you'll be presented with this amazing screen
0:19
Hi there! You want to select your language by tapping on the drop-down right here and choosing your desired language
0:26
I'm going to stick with the suggested English that has been selected by default. From there, tap Start
0:31
Then we have Connect to Mobile Network. This will allow you to insert a SIM card into your device
0:37
This step is completely optional. You can either insert it or you can also use the eSIM if you wanted to
0:45
Or you can just disregard it for now and do it completely later after the setup is finished
0:50
That's what I'm going to do. Then we have Connect to Wi-Fi. Again, this step is optional
0:54
If you don't have any kind of Wi-Fi, don't worry. You can completely skip it. The only thing you will miss out on throughout the setup is the ability to log in to your Google account
1:03
Once you connect to Wi-Fi after the setup through Settings, you can still do that anyway
1:10
I'm going to skip this and then go to the next page where we can set date and time
1:14
Sometimes if it's correct, then you don't really need to do anything
1:19
If you connect to Wi-Fi or mobile, it's most of the time set to basically using the Wi-Fi or Internet
1:27
For me, it's incorrect, but I'm just not going to be bothering right now with changing it
1:31
If you want to change it, all you need to do is tap on the drop-down and choose the respectable time and date
1:36
You're basically done. From there, you can go to Next. We have a bunch of services from Google
1:42
We have Location, Scanning, Ads, and User and Diagnostic Data. If you're curious of what each one of them is supposed to do, you can tap on the drop-down right here
1:52
and read the thorough explanation of it. A short abbreviation of this, Location, is just GPS tracking
2:01
Scanning allows things like Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to scan for devices. Then Send User and Diagnostic Data, kind of self-explanatory, gathers data on you and sends it to Google
2:13
You can also disable all of these if you don't want it. From there, tap on More and Accept at the bottom
2:20
On the next page, you can set up a screen lock. By default, it opts into a four-digit PIN, but you can tap on other screen lock options
2:28
and change it to either PIN, Pattern, or Password. I'm going to go with a Pattern
2:34
From here, I'm going to draw it. Tap on Next. Redraw the same pattern once more and confirm
2:40
Then it will allow us to add a fingerprint, which is this Motorola logo at the back
2:48
I'm going to skip it. As you can see, I'm wearing gloves, so this wouldn't really work
2:52
Skip it. Then we have about your privacy. Obviously, Motorola Privacy and Terms of Service, we need to accept it
3:03
Let's just tap on Accept and Continue. Then we have Let's Stay In Touch, so a bunch of things that you can opt into by providing your email if you want to
3:11
If you don't, simply tap on Next. This regard is Carrier Location Access, so this will allow your carrier to access your location
3:19
Again, if you want it, enable it. If you don't, disable it. Just simply go to Next if you want to
3:24
Then it will give you a quick guide on how to use gesture navigation
3:28
Let's get started. Home, obviously, swipe up. Resend, swipe up and hold
3:36
Then, back button, it's swiping from either side of the screen. By default, it will then turn on the gestures
3:45
If you want to keep them, just swipe up. If you want to have the normal buttons that you're used to, go to Settings and then automatically you can change it from there
3:56
I'm not going to be bothering, so swipe up and setup is complete
