Welcome, in front of me is a Huawei P50 Pocket and today I will show you how you can hard

reset the device through recovery mode. Now, this will remove a screen lock if you have one that you don't know

When I lock the device, you can see that I do have a pattern set and I'll progress from

the lock screen as though I wouldn't know my pattern. So let's get started by holding the power key

Then choose power off. And once the device turns off, you want to hold the power key and volume up at the same time

So let's do that right now

And as you can see, this will boot us into recovery mode. So from here, you want to select clear data by simply pressing it and then choose factory reset

This brings up this confirmation window right here where all you need to do is type in yes

on the keyboard. There we go. And then select factory reset, which will begin the process

Now at this point, it only takes a couple of seconds to finish up

So this will go through and either it will reboot automatically or we will need to confirm

it and reboot it ourself, at which point the device will continue the process in the background

So this is the second option. So we're going to go back and select restart

And like I mentioned, it's going to now continue the process in the background

Now this will take about a minute to like three minutes roughly to finish up

And once it has, we should be done with the setup screen for the device

So I'll be back once that is visible. Now it appears I have a SIM card inserted into the device, so I'm going to quickly pop it out

I didn't actually realize that there is a SIM card. So this normally wouldn't change anything
