Welcome! In front of me I have Garmin Venue 3 and I'm gonna show you how to
0:04
change the screen timeout duration on this watch. Basically how quickly the
0:09
screen turns off after you stop using your watch. First thing we need to do is to wake up the screen on our watch. You can do it by
0:19
pressing any of the buttons. Once you wake up the screen press and hold the
0:23
back button to open the menu. Now scroll through the menu, find the settings
0:28
option and tap on it. In settings scroll down and find the option called the
0:35
system. Then select it. Here select the display option. Now find the option
0:44
called general use or during activity. Basically you have three states of the
0:48
watch. We have general use, during activity and during the sleep. General
0:53
use is whenever you're using your watch normally, not doing anything else. And the
0:57
during activity is when you're tracking activity on your watch like running
1:01
cycling and stuff like that. And during sleep is of course when you're sleeping. First let's select general use and here we have the timeout option. You can tap
1:08
on it and you have a couple of durations. We have short, medium, long and extra long
1:14
Select the one you like by tapping on it. Then go back, tap on during activity. We
1:20
have timeout and we can select one we like. For example long. And finally sleep
1:25
and here we don't have a timeout option actually. So that's about it. You have
1:31
general use, during activity and you can select the timeout right here. And once
1:35
you're done you can press the back button to go back to watch face. And now
1:40
my screen will stay up longer even though I'm not using the watch. So
1:44
basically we need to wait longer time for the screen to turn off automatically. And that's how you change the screen timeout duration on this watch
