Welcome! In front of me is a Oppo A77 and today I will show you how you can import your contacts from a SIM card to the phone

So to get started all you need to do is open up your contacts application. Just make sure you open up the standalone version of it like this one

Then navigate to Fix & Manage and Manage SIM, which will then display all your contacts that are located on a SIM card. By default they should all be

selected as long as these contacts or some of them don't exist on your phone already

And obviously you have only one button, Import, so we're gonna click on it. Remove copies from SIM. I highly discourage you from doing so. I'll select Keep

The reason why I recommend keeping the contacts is because when you remove them from SIM card, they just get deleted and

you have no downside of keeping them on your SIM card because when you go to your contacts

your phone automatically chooses or you can choose where the phone pulls the contacts from. So by default

it will be either in your Google account or your device. Here it's on a device

but it looks like I'm not logged into a Google account, so that would probably explain why that isn't the default right now

But as you can see you also have the SIM card. Each one of these options that it has contacts is separated from each other. Therefore the contacts that are on the SIM card will never

show up when device is selected. Therefore I will never see duplicated contacts, meaning it never really bothers me to have these contacts on a SIM card

but it gives me a peace of mind that if something happens to my phone I can just take out a SIM card, put it into other device and

all my contacts will still be there. So I recommend keeping them
