Welcome and follow me as a Huawei MatePad SE and today I'll show you how we can

hard reset this device through recovery mode. Now before I get started I'm gonna quickly mention that this process also

allows you to get rid of screen locks so if you have one that you just don't know

you can get rid of it this way. I do have a pattern set which I'm just trying to

show you right now and I'll progress from the lock screen as though I don't

know it. One thing to keep in mind is I believe if you have your Huawei ID

logged in and you do this you will need to verify either the pattern or the

Huawei ID when you're going through the setup of the tablet. It's basically the

equivalent of like Apple iCloud lock or Google's FRP. Anyway so I'm gonna begin

from here like I mentioned so let's hold power key, select power off. Once the

tablet turns off you wanna hold power and volume up at the same time. So both

of these keys right here. You'll see Huawei logo, let go of the power key

and as you can see this takes us to the Harmony OS recovery mode. In here simply

select clear data and then factory reset. In here you need to type in yes like

this and then select factory reset. This will then begin resetting your device

and this might take it's like 10 to 20 seconds right here and once it's finished

I believe the device will automatically reboot but if it doesn't we will need to

do it manually. So yeah we need to do it manually. So let's select back, restart

and this will continue the process in the background so it might take the device a couple minutes to boot up fully. Just be patient that's completely normal

Once it's finished we'll be presented with the setup screen for our device. So
