Welcome, I'm Fronm, he's a Realme 6 Pro and today I'll show you how to transfer files
0:10
from the device to an SD card and vice versa. And getting started, let's pull up the uptray and open up File Manager right over here
0:20
And from here you should see your internal and also SD card storage
0:27
So we're gonna start off with the phone storage right here, internal one, because that's usually
0:31
where photos, videos that you have captured with the device will be located
0:35
And let me quickly check if mine are where I expect them to be, and they are
0:40
So to start off, like I said, photos, videos captured with the device will be located under
0:46
the DCIM folder. Screenshots that you have captured on the device will be under Pictures, although here it's
0:53
empty because I haven't captured any. Then you also have a Downloads folder, which will contain anything that you have downloaded
0:58
either through your web browser or email, whatever the case might be, wherever you downloaded
1:03
it, it will be in the folder here. And then you have leftover folders like the music, movies, podcasts, stuff like that
1:13
Now those folders will normally be empty unless you put files in there yourself
1:17
So from here, let's find our files, which like I said, mine are right here, and you
1:23
want to select them. And you have a couple ways you can do it, you can either select the files themselves
1:28
so as you can see, Pictures right here, I can either select them
1:32
Now if I want all of them, I can either select all of them, or I can also go back and select
1:37
the entire folder like so. So it is just personal preference. Now whichever way you select your files that you want to move, it's completely up to you
1:46
But you select it the same way, all of them. So you do it by simply holding a first file, as you can see, and it gets the checkmark
1:54
on the side. And once it's selected, you can simply add additional by tapping on them as you can see
2:00
or deselecting them. You also have a button to select all if you want to do that
2:07
So whichever way you do it, like I said, it's up to you. And once you have it selected, you'll have the option right here, either copy or move
2:15
And now depending on which one you choose, it will have a different effect. So if you choose to copy, you will create additional set of the same files and then
2:23
move them to a new location while keeping the old ones where they are right now
2:28
While move will completely remove your files from where they are right now and move them
2:31
to a new location. So the difference is, with copy you will have duplicates then
2:38
And I'm going to go with move. Like I said, it's completely up to you which one you choose
2:43
And once you tap on either copy or move, it brings up this section right here so you can
2:48
select where you want to move it to, either phone or SD card
2:52
Right now they're on a phone, so I'm going to go to an SD card just to spice it up
2:57
And I can move it wherever I want. And here I can move it either to the main directory of the SD card
3:03
I could keep it organized and also drop it in here. As you can see there is a camera folder, but it's empty
3:08
And if I move it right here, I have the option to replace the folder because there is already
3:13
a folder by the name of camera. So I'm going to go with replace
3:18
You can see that now this is the phone storage, so where the photos were
3:25
And it's empty right now. And if I go back to SD card and I go to DCIM, you can see that now my pictures are on the
3:33
SD card instead of the phone. So that is how you would move any kind of file
3:39
The process always is the same, just a file change. And if you found this very helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe, and thanks
