Welcome, I'm Frami the Microsoft Surface Duo and today I'll show you how to

hard reset the device through settings. So to get started obviously you will want

to open up your settings application. From here scroll all the way down to

system, select reset options and then choose erase all data factory reset. Now

this will bring up a message that basically performing this will remove all the data from the device so if there is anything that you'd like to keep do

back it up beforehand. Well otherwise you will lose it permanently. Now assuming

you have already backed it up or you simply just don't want to then click on

erase all data. Now if you have some kind of pin on your device you will need to

confirm it, any kind of screen lock, but because I don't it just allows me to

then select erase all data again which will begin the process. Now for you once

you put in the pin it will then give you that same pop-up right here which once

you click on it again it will begin the process. Now this takes fairly, this

entire erase process is fairly quick so it takes about like two three minutes
