Welcome! In front of me I have Motorola Moto G72 and I'm gonna show you how to
0:05
set up and enable the portable hotspot on this phone. First we need to open the
0:15
settings on our phone. To do it you can swipe upwards on the home screen to open
0:20
the app menu and once you open the app menu you can scroll down and tap on the
0:24
settings icon to open the settings. In settings let's tap on the network and
0:30
internet option. Then let's select the hotspot and tethering and here tap on
0:39
the Wi-Fi hotspot. And right here we have the hotspot settings. So first let's set
0:47
up our hotspot and then we're gonna turn it on. So let's tap on the hotspot name
0:52
Right here we can change the name of our hotspot basically. Next option is hide
0:59
my device. What this option does is basically if somebody is looking for the
1:03
nearby networks and you enable this option your network won't be visible on
1:08
that list of nearby networks. If it's disabled your network, your hotspot
1:12
should be visible. Below we have security and this option allows you to select the
1:17
security protocol and we have couple of them and also the none option. If you
1:22
select this option you won't have the password protection on your hotspot but
1:27
if you select any different protocol you will have the password protection. And
1:31
below we have hotspot password and we can tap on it to make it visible or to
1:37
change it basically. Like this. Below we have extended compatibility mode and
1:46
this allows devices with the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz devices connect to the same
1:52
network. So if you disable this option not every device will be able to connect
1:58
to your hotspot basically. And then we can tap on manage devices and here you
2:02
have the list of devices connected to your hotspot. You can also tap on
2:08
device limit to limit the amount of devices connected to your hotspot at the
2:13
same time. And you can also see the list of connected devices like I said before
2:19
and you can tap on manage allowed devices and right here you can basically
2:24
manage which devices can connect to your network and which ones can't connect to your network basically. Okay let's go back to the hotspot
2:35
settings and below we have timeout settings and if you tap on this option
2:39
here we can select after what period of time the hotspot should turn off
2:46
automatically. So if no devices are connected to your hotspot and for
2:51
example you select 15 minutes your hotspot will turn off automatically after 15 minutes of Inca activity. So no devices connected for 15 minutes. Okay
3:02
and once you're done customizing the settings for your hotspot you can turn it on and you can turn it on by tapping on the switch like this. You will see the
3:11
icon appear right here which indicates that the hotspot is enabled. You can also
3:15
disable it by tapping on the switch or you can open the quick panel on your
3:19
phone by swiping down from the top of the screen twice like this and on this
3:25
panel you can swipe left or right to scroll through the pages and on one of
3:29
the pages you should see the hotspot icon and you can tap on the icon to
3:33
enable this hotspot or tap on it to disable it. You can also press and hold
3:38
on this icon to go to the hotspot settings. Okay and that's how you set up
3:44
and enable the portable hotspot on this phone. Thank you for watching. If you
