Welcome, I'm Filomena, Realme 8 Pro and today I'll show you how to enable the power saving mode
0:13
And to get started, I'm going to pull down the notification panel and find the toggle
0:18
for it, which is right here, power saving mode. Once you find it, simply tap on it and it's going to be enabled
0:25
Now I will mention that when you enable the power saving mode, it does a couple of things that it never really discloses
0:30
So when the device goes to sleep, which is meaning when it goes like this, screen turns
0:37
off, the device is still on, obviously, but the screen is turned off
0:42
So this is the sleep mode. So when it's in this mode, it will disconnect from Wi-Fi and mobile data, both of them
0:49
after some time of inactivity. I'm not exactly sure what the number is, is it like five minutes or so, but basically
0:56
once it disconnects from Wi-Fi and mobile, you won't be getting any kind of notifications
1:03
That is so the device can preserve battery whenever it doesn't need to look for updates
1:07
for like messages and stuff like that. It doesn't need to connect to Wi-Fi, that will save the battery, but the downside of
1:14
it is you won't be getting any kind of updates that would be requiring internet connection
1:19
So the moment you wake up the device, it will go back to connecting to everything and automatically
1:26
scan and sync everything that was missing. So that's all you really need to do, basically interact with the device to see if you have
1:34
some notifications. So just keep that in mind if you're struggling with the, or if you have a problem with that
1:42
So just wanted to point that out. Now, additionally, if you want to save your battery further outside of the power saving
1:49
mode, you can do a couple of things. Number one, we'll be dropping the max brightness or overall brightness
1:55
But the more you drop it, the more battery you'll gain. So dropping it halfway like I did right now will probably yield me, I would estimate about
2:02
two hours, three hours of battery life. So easy way to get additional battery life for basically no additional work
2:10
Now, apart from that, it can also do things like disabling location
2:14
If you have it enabled, disabling Bluetooth, one or the other, meaning Wi-Fi or mobile
2:19
data, just keep one on and the other one off. NFC also, you can disable it
2:26
Hotspot if you have it enabled, do enable it as well, or disable it, meaning
2:32
And that's basically all I can think of that will preserve your battery further outside
2:36
of the power saving mode. And once you're done with it, if you went the route of just tapping on the toggle, either
2:44
you can tap on it again to turn it off, or I believe you can charge the device fully
2:48
and this will disable the power saving mode. And if you decided to go the route of turning off some toggles, like I showed you which
2:57
one you can do, then you will need to re-enable them if you want some of them back on
3:02
But that being said, this is how you would use the power saving mode, and if you found this very helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe, and thanks for watching
