Welcome everyone, it's Samsung Galaxy S21 and today I'll show you how to check your
0:13
warranty status on this device. Now this will work the same way for every kind of Samsung Galaxy device that is running
0:23
with the Knox security. Now what this kind of means with the Knox security is basically the device keeps checking
0:32
whenever it boots up if anything was changed on it in terms of security and if it has then
0:39
some certain applications Samsung specific ones so as you know you have the secure folder
0:44
and Galaxy or yeah I think it's Galaxy store and several other ones like that so if the
0:50
device specifically Knox security detects that the device was tampered with it will
0:55
basically remove certain features and based on like security measures so no one can get
1:02
access to them but we'll also do one more thing which is avoid your warranty and normally
1:11
if you're an owner of the device straight like from the beginning if you for instance
1:16
root your device as an example you will mostly if you will know that by rooting the device
1:22
you're also avoiding your warranty but if you are a buyer of said device then you won't
1:28
really know if the device was rooted or not thus you also won't know if the device still
1:34
has a warranty or not I mean on paper yeah the device could still have warranty but if
1:38
it was rooted that warranty is voided so even if it's supposed to run for another year or
1:43
so yeah that's gone so if you're the said buyer what you can do before you actually
1:50
purchase a second-hand device is simply check it by plugging it into a computer and turning
1:55
it on in download mode now for this purpose you will need obviously a computer and also
1:58
a cable and all you need to do is plug in that cable there we go and from there let's
2:06
power it off so select the power key right here power off and wait for the device to
2:12
power down and when that has happened what you want to do is hold it volume down and
2:17
volume up both of the keys at the same time there we go and this will take you to the
2:26
warning screen just disregard it press a volume up to continue and there we go we are right
2:32
now in the download mode where we get some information and most importantly we get the
2:37
warranty void information now it's stated here the void warranty by zero or one and
2:45
more of a binary status here zero basically means that you still have a warranty one will
2:51
mean that the warranty is just gone now and this is completely like standalone this this
2:58
basically doesn't operate on a timed warranty so as an example if you still have zero but
3:05
but you already had the device for like two years or so however long the warranty is the
3:09
warranty will be gone but the void here will still be at zero this is only I'm gonna say
3:15
that basically if you did something to the device that made the warranty not be eligible
3:22
yeah so you can quickly check it from here a warranty where it says one then if someone
3:28
trying to tell you that you still have the manufacturers warranty no you don't if this
3:33
is zero your warranty is just completely gone and that is how you basically check it now to
3:40
leave this mode once you have checked it all you need to do is hold the volume down and power key
3:44
which is faintly visible here let me just maybe turn off the lights so it's a little bit better
3:50
visible there we go you can see it a little bit better now so there we go now volume down and
3:56
side key for more than seven seconds to power it off and this will basically restart the device so
4:02
we turn on back the lights and again drop that there we go and what you want to do is like we
4:10
seen power key volume down hold both of the keys at the same time and you're gonna hold them for
4:15
more than seven seconds or basically till the screen turns off like so at which point you can
4:22
let go I can also unplug it and simply wait for the device to boot back up into Android and there
4:32
we go so if you found this video helpful don't forget to hit like subscribe and thanks for watching
