And follow me as a Microsoft Surface Go. And today I wanted to show you a couple neat, I guess, tricks that I can do on this, primarily
0:16
to do with the touch gestures, so trackpad and also the touchscreen
0:21
So to get started, there is a thing that probably majority of the people don't know
0:28
Now before I actually get started, I will mention that most of them are really similar
0:32
and basically feel kind of plagiarized from Apple, what they did on their, like, MacBooks and stuff
0:38
like that. So first thing that feels super plagiarized but it's useful would be the multiple desktops
0:46
Now it is a Windows device which allows you to kind of just get rid of applications of them
0:53
open and just minimize them and do all that stuff. What you can do is, for instance, let me just open something up
1:01
Let's open another one. So as you can see, I have two windows open right now
1:07
And there is two different ways you can go about this gesture. So number one would be with three fingers on a trackpad
1:12
Let's swipe up. Yep there we go Swipe up It brings this up That one way Or using the screen you just swipe from the side There we go and it does the same thing
1:24
So it just really depends on which one to use. But from here you can see that I already have two desktops in a way, so two pages
1:31
You can also add another one if you want to. There's no actual limit to those, so you can have multiple
1:38
And as you can see, this, for instance, the first desktop has these two windows
1:42
if I go to a second desktop, it's completely clean. Now you don't actually have to go every time to all this thing right here
1:48
which you can do is quickly using, I believe, four fingers, just swipe between them
1:56
So simply allows you to switch between, and each different desktop can have opened different apps
2:03
and you can quickly just switch between them. One thing that I was doing once way back
2:10
was if you're using a virtual machine you can make the virtual machine run full screen
2:17
on one of the desktops and just quickly swipe between the virtual
2:21
machine and for instance like Windows so as an example you can be running
2:25
on one desktop a Linux and then you swipe over and you have Windows
2:28
on the other one which is just super seamless and really nice and handy in my opinion so that one thing that I can do Now moving on to the next one let see where we head there There is a quick search which I believe I was using three fingers
2:49
You just click it opens up the search so you can start typing in here what you want to search for
2:56
Now maybe not necessarily the most handy gesture but still one nonetheless. So
3:03
So just as an example, because I'm saying it's not handy because you can just press the Windows key
3:08
and have literally the same exact usability of it. So press this and then type, same thing
3:16
So it just really depends on what you want to use. And it doesn't seem to work as a touch gesture on the screen
3:25
Now another thing that you can do is quickly access your tuggles, so you don't actually have to scroll over here and top on it
3:31
simply swipe it away like so, have access to all of them, to your notifications and all that
3:37
stuff from here, and just a quick swipe away. Now, I believe there is no gesture for this on the trackpad, so this is only the screen gesture
3:50
And additionally you have a quick hide of all the applications if you want to clear your desktop by as you seen just swiping down And if you swipe up with four fingers it brings up everything back up And again not what I wanted
4:05
There we go. So, for instance, like right here, even though technically this is open
4:13
it's open on a different desktop. So as you can see, it won't really affect it here. So you do have to use this on the correct screen
4:23
where you have actual windows open. Now, there's probably many more different shortcuts
4:31
which I haven't really gone into. Haven't really experienced myself. I've been using this let's a couple days
4:38
And primarily most of those I did pull out kind of out of just
4:44
out of habit from using a MacBook. So if you find some other ones, which you like to share
4:51
do write it in the comment. But anyway, this will be able to conclude the functionality of the gestures or multi-touch
5:00
however you want to classify this. And if you found this very helpful, don't forget to like, subscribe, and thanks for watching
