Welcome, at Phenom is a Blue Grand M2 and today I will show you a couple tweaks and
0:10
tricks that you can do on this device. So we're gonna first begin with the system UI tuner which will allow you to clean up
0:16
your status bar up here from unwanted toggles. So for instance if you're using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi stuff like that and they're all
0:27
enabled you will see the icon over there. Now for certain things, for instance like alarm clocks or Bluetooth, well gee yeah
0:36
everybody knows it's enabled because you enabled it yourself so there's no point displaying it
0:42
And if you'd like to get rid of it, that's simple information, all you need to do is
0:46
hold the settings icon until as you can see it starts spinning and then when you let go
0:54
for me it just says that I can remove it but if you're doing this for the first time it will say that system UI tuner has been enabled and then it can be found in your settings
1:04
yep there it is, system settings and you have system UI tuner right here
1:12
Got it, you can go to status bar and here you have all the things that you can toggle off
1:16
So you have something like Wi-Fi, do not disturb mode, Bluetooth, you can see that the moment
1:23
I toggle it off it just disappears while the Bluetooth itself is still enabled
1:29
So you can toggle off pretty much almost everything apart from I think like time and battery or
1:38
well I guess you can even toggle off the battery in this case. But just toggle off whatever you want and you'll have a little bit of a cleaner aesthetic
1:47
I guess. The next thing I'm gonna go into is the animations
1:53
So the device says animations but because it's not the fastest device on the market
1:58
the animations feel a little bit wonky and in my opinion take away from the experience
2:03
So we can just basically remove them all together so the device doesn't have to animate anything
2:10
and any app that you try to open will be instantaneously opened
2:15
So to do it we're gonna again go to the settings and then system
2:19
From here go to about device and at the bottom you'll find build number
2:23
So tap on that seven times and you will get a message you are now a developer
2:29
And when you go back you can just see developer options kind of like appeared in here
2:34
Tap on it, enable it, okay and we can now scroll down till we find animation speeds
2:44
There it is. So we have window animation scale, transition animation scale and animation duration scale
2:50
Each one of them corresponds to different part of the animation so you can for instance
2:55
change this which is the window that appears right here as the window animation scale
3:00
You can change it for instance times ten if you want to and it will be abysmally slow
3:07
And then you can for instance toggle the other ones off. Now I would not advise actually keeping it at ten but as you can see you can toggle it
3:19
off or if you want still to have animations but make them faster you can just set it to
3:23
half speed which is probably the best of both worlds. But like I said it's a preference so choose whichever one you want, half speed, no speed
3:34
or times ten, whichever one floats your boat go for it. I'm gonna stick with off
3:42
And as you can see now everything has no more animations. Whatever you do it just appears and disappears
3:51
So moving on we're gonna go into hiding password option and just to show you what it does
3:56
When you go to type in a password anywhere for instance like a wifi password you can
4:03
always see the latest letter that I have pressed provided right here
4:07
Now this in my opinion bridges a little bit of security because if someone is staring
4:12
at you from behind they can basically get your password that you're providing them neatly
4:17
in the sequence. So to get rid of this we're gonna go into the settings and from here we're gonna go
4:24
into security and location and scroll down till you see show password option
4:31
Now disable that. Now if we go back to typing in a password
4:39
Oops, that's not a password. Something got us protected. There we go
4:44
And you can see that there is no more password visible. So that's way nicer in my opinion
4:53
Now another thing that I wanted to show is really simple and fairly accessible on most
4:58
other devices but it's the quick opening camera by double pressing power key
5:06
So when you double press it it will vibrate and then immediately after opens up a camera
5:12
and I believe this can be also done when the device is locked
5:16
Yep, so there it is. So if you want to capture something really quick on the go all you need to do is just
5:24
double press power key whenever the device is even locked and it automatically launches
5:28
the camera as you can see. And moving on to the last one which will be the power saving mode that you can choose
5:39
to have it automatically. Now I won't be really going into it too much because the battery is well too high to actually
5:46
showcase it but you can number one toggle it from here and it will actually toggle it
5:51
on no matter what the percentage is. You can hold the option right here and it will go into the settings of it
5:58
Just disable this quickly though. And from here you have battery saver
6:05
You can actually tap on that and turn on automatically and you can choose the percentage for instance 15
6:12
So whenever your device reaches 15% battery it will turn on power saving just so it can
6:16
last longer so if you will have some kind of need or you're out somewhere the device
6:23
won't die and waste resources on pointless stuff like loading emails. But yeah this would conclude all the tweaks and tricks that I want to share and if you
6:34
found any of them helpful don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks for watching
