Welcome

Infoomime's Huawei P-SmartZ and today I'll show you a couple of tweaks and tricks that I can do on this device
0:12
So we're going to begin with the home screen style which will allow you to get rid of this
0:17
Apple-esque-looking home screen with all the icons smack in the middle of your display
0:24
without any kind of upstate. So to get started, go into the settings and then let's go and go into the settings
0:29
Then let's go into home screen and wallpaper. And then home screen style
0:35
Actually, whoops, home screen style right here. And you will find the drawer one
0:41
Here, tap on that. That's a quick refresh. And you can see that now you have this new button right here
0:50
And tap on it and brings up all the apps that are installed on the device
0:55
And you can now get rid of all the ones that are right here. you want to keep your display a little bit cleaner so you could just remove them
1:01
I'm sure there's any other way see so you could select all of them simply like
1:09
so grab it boom remove remove and as you can see it really
1:25
of basically all of them from your home screen if you wish to keep all the only the essentials if you want
1:29
and they are still all in here yeah so moving on we're going to go into the option that allows you to
1:36
hide the password and as you probably already have seen if you start typing in a password that
1:44
anywhere now i'm using network as just a quick way to bring up the password uh mechanism into the
1:51
into the typing so as you'll see every time I press a letter you can see the latest letter I have
1:57
pressed and if someone for instance is peeking over your shoulder with their gaping eyes they can
2:04
basically gather your entire password through just like looking at it and it's being neatly provided
2:10
and sequence with all the letters being visible every time you press them now it in my opinion much harder to look at whatever you press with your thumb So if you type like this sometimes you cover it up somehow So you won be able to really see it through here
2:26
And when you're using two thumbs to type, it's most certainly much more difficult to get it than when it's provided in here
2:33
And to get started, if you want to enable this, you'll go again into the settings
2:38
and now let's go into the security and privacy and more settings and then I think it's right here
2:49
yep encryption and credentials and you have the option called show password which I'm not sure
2:57
what's enabled by default in my opinion should be disabled just for for the security risk that
3:05
I would say it poses sometimes So yeah, how that it's disabled and if we go, oops not here, we go back to typing in a password
3:17
Stop on something. You can see that there is no more letter visible
3:21
It's an immediate dot, so you can't really get the password anymore as long as you don't really press the eye here
3:30
Yeah, so moving on, we're going to go into a gesture navigation
3:34
which just allows you to get rid of these outdated buttons on the bottom. so you can have something a little bit more well up to date I guess I would call it
3:44
so I want to go into the settings let's go into the system and system navigation
3:50
and you have the three options so we're right now on the tricky navigation you have a
3:54
navigation dock which is just a circle acts the same way and also keeps the the buttons here
4:00
anyway so not really the funest one and then you have the gestures right on the top
4:05
and if you're enabling this for the first time i would suggest you go to the um to the guide on how
4:13
it how to use it so it gives you an animation of how on how to use it so to go back you can
4:20
swipe from either left or right side like so uh really similar to apple so like so then we have
4:31
i think it home yep there we go so you just swipe up really quickly and And then you have the recent which you want to swipe up and hold And it does this
4:41
And we're basically now done. So now we want to swipe up to go into recent like so
4:47
Swipe quickly up to basically close anything. And then you have the buck from either side
4:55
And when you're pulling, you can see this arrow appear from either side of it. Okay, so moving on, we're going to go into the locking up option
5:06
And what it does is just allows you to lock an app whenever you go into recent, for instance
5:10
and you have this more clear option right here, it throws that anything
5:14
And for instance, if you're listening to Spotify and to throw it out, it stops the music, right
5:19
So all you need to do then to prevent that from happening, because, for instance, you don't really pay attention to the fact that your music app is open
5:27
instead of sliding an app up that you wish to for instance lock you just want to slide it down
5:33
it doesn't really go far but when you let it go you can see that there's a lock that has appeared
5:38
once more i will show it so there is an app now lock and now if i were to let's go out now if i were
5:45
to clear all and go back you'll see that settings is still open oh and uh yeah so it's basically
5:54
all associated with its settings even though it's one app it shows it in
5:57
three different windows but you can see that all the setting up is locked from
6:02
basically being closed no matter how many times I press on it so you could do
6:09
that for for instance Spotify and then it won't close the app and moving on we're
6:16
gonna go into the multitasking option which is simply allows you for instance to
6:20
listen to music through YouTube or just simply multitask as the name suggests
6:25
opens up two different windows so it's number one get rid of this
6:32
there we go so let's open a couple of apps I'm gonna still open into that I
6:45
suggest so number one whenever you start the split screen the first up that you put into split screen will always go on top So if you want for instance YouTube on top you want to open it first And then it either shows you a recent app right here or just your app up tray I guess
7:08
Let's close this. So you can swipe up and basically minimizes the YouTube and shows you your home screen
7:16
From here, you can tap on the app that you wish to open. keep in mind that not all the apps are supported some apps like I think dialer or
7:25
messages I'm not really sure which one of those doesn't support it so the app that
7:29
won't support split screen will just quit quit it basically and go into full
7:35
screen so like I said keep that in mind so from here just disregard this
7:49
It's open, let me actually first, mute the music and I just open something like this
7:58
Can resize it. And you can see that, for instance, video is still playing
8:05
And you can do other stuff on your browser. Now, there's also another thing you can do
8:11
If you want to just, for instance, listen to music. Now, you still can't like, like the device because that will all
8:19
always basically turn off the music as long as you don't pay for the subscription
8:25
which is complete bollocks. So you can see if I go home, it keeps it open in that tiny little space right there
8:35
just so you can see that it's still open, and you can continue to do other stuff
8:40
So just a nice way of multitasking and listening to music or some kind of video that you wish to
8:47
listen to without actually being forced to have it in foreground. But this would basically finish the tweaks and tricks around the share and if you found any of
8:57
them helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks for watching
