Welcome from me as a Google Pixel 4 and today I'll show you a couple
0:09
tweaks and tricks that I can do on this device so we're gonna start off with the
0:13
emotion sense which basically allows you to use the sonar camera or whatever
0:18
it's called to use gestures above your device to control certain aspects like
0:25
music now to enable it you have to go into the settings
0:30
and then go into the system motion sense and you can see it right here so just flip that on
0:37
and from here we have a couple things that can change so skip song and you have a
0:44
animation on how it works now unfortunately I don't have any music here so I won't be
0:50
actually able to showcase it but it can get a review how it works here and yeah
1:00
I also have a snooze alarm and silent calls so you can also use it to interact with
1:09
additional options like the alarm clock if you wish to do that although I'll probably
1:14
stay away from that one considering you might just buy mistakes wipe it at night and
1:19
dismiss your alarm clock or well in a morning I guess yeah so moving on we're going to
1:27
go into the navigation buttons so if you're not the biggest fan of the gesture
1:32
navigations which it's actually fairly well done on here but not everybody likes it
1:37
so there's an option to change it back to the previous one and again you would go
1:41
into the settings and then let's go into the gestures so it's going to i think it's also on the system and there it is gestures
1:57
and system navigation right here. And you can see that on the bottom
2:01
you have the three button navigation and just brings back the three button navigation as Android previously had Yeah So that just an option if you don like the navigation gestures
2:18
Now moving on, I'm going to go into the Active Edge, which allows again a little bit more interaction with the device
2:26
for instance, to dismiss calls. And it's not really shown anywhere, but there's no buttons of any sorts
2:33
but you will see that once I start actually pushing on the sides, it will light up the edges
2:40
Okay, so right now I launched the squeeze for assistance. So it also works with the assistance, obviously
2:49
I think you have to hold it for longer. So just up on next
2:54
Do it later. Okay, so it still brings it up. But also works that if someone is calling you, you can also
3:03
squeeze it now I'm trying to show it by like with two fingers basically right
3:08
here so you can see that I'm not pressing even the screen but normally all you do is just while holding it in a hand you basically squeeze it like so and
3:15
you can oh now we can see the the blue lines so as you see I'm not really
3:21
pressing anything on the device and you also have how hard you have to squeeze it
3:27
so just the amount of force you will have to squeeze the device
3:33
for it to activate. Now this is all really dependent on how you like it and how hard do you
3:39
want to squeeze the device for it to activate. And that's about it. So now once it's set
3:46
you can just squeeze it and it activates. As you can see it's was listening to me right now
3:54
So yeah, and just disregard that. But you can see that it's working fairly well. And like
4:01
Like I said, it also works with dropping calls and I think there's a couple other things
4:06
but I haven't actually looked that deeply into it. So you could actually go into the settings and we can see what else it can do So again settings and then system gestures active edge and it right here so you have squeeze for your assistance allowing and screen is off and
4:28
squeeze for silent so I have three different options here so those are basically
4:35
all the uses you get with it now moving on we're gonna go into the the screen pinning
4:42
options which allow you to pin a app so if you're allowing someone to use your device for instance
4:51
they want to make a call you open up your dialer and you pin this up and then they won't be able to
4:56
leave this up unless they know your pattern or well assuming you set it that way but actually let's
5:02
start by enabling it because i think it's disabled yep it's disabled by default so
5:08
to enable this we're going to go into the settings again and then security
5:12
And there it is. It's a security. Scroll advance, again all the way down
5:23
And you have screen pinning right here. Enable it. And you have the other option to lock the device when unpinning
5:31
So this basically, when you hold the button or buttons, I'm not really sure at this moment
5:36
what it is. You, well, the device will basically lock itself and you'll have to have a pattern set or pin
5:42
or password, whatever it is. So the device will lock itself, and then you have to actually confirm it
5:47
to unlock the device again. So just an additional measure if someone actually knows how to unpin it
5:54
and wants to rumm it around your phone. So you can actually now leave this
6:00
and for instance, pin again, like I wanted to pin the dialer
6:04
So you can see that there's additional option now called pin. Previously, there were only three
6:09
All you do is stop on it, and then it gives you message. how to unpin it so you have to hold the buck and recent got it and just as an example you can see that
6:18
now when i pressing just a single button i cannot actually leave this uh so i have to hold both of them and then if there a optic feedback to unpin it actually already unpinned or there is screen unpin so now I can leave it now like I
6:35
said you have also the option to make it like so and it will force you to set up some
6:41
kind of way of locking so it's gonna do that really quickly
6:45
oops then confirm it go continue confirm done cool and that's about it so now you can see that it's enabled and if I go back to the
7:03
up right here and I will pin it again got it again can't leave it right but if I try to unpin it
7:13
the device gets locked and now I have to unlock it to actually leave this and you can see
7:18
that now it is unpin and I can close it so just a
7:22
security measure if you want to add it and the last thing that I wanted to show is a
7:29
fairly or simple one but a lot of people like it which is a dark mode as you can see
7:34
it is at the moment in light mode so wherever you go into the notifications and
7:40
setting stuff like that it's all white but you can actually go into the settings right
7:45
here and under the display you'll find a dark theme enable it and everything goes
7:52
the dark mode that also includes the notifications so it looks really nice in my
8:00
opinion also if this is an Amulet display which I think it is it will save up a
8:06
little bit battery because it doesn't actually have to light up the screen where
8:09
you have the dark background because those pixels are basically disabled at the
8:13
moment so it will also help you with the battery as you just seen the wallpaper
8:19
also changed that a little bit but yeah So those would be all the tweaks and tricks that are on the share
8:25
and if you found them helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe, and thanks for watching
