Welcome
0:02
In front of me is a Nokia 6.1 and today I'll show you a couple of tweaks and tricks that I can do on this device
0:12
So starting off we're going to jump straight to the ambi light display or ambient display
0:18
And to do it, I want to go into the settings so pull down the notification panel and top the gear icon
0:23
And from here we're going to go under the display section so it's somewhere above right here
0:29
and see adaptive brightness I'm guessing it's under advanced ambient display right here and you have a couple options you can disable it all together and
0:45
because by default it's gonna pop out once you move the phone so let's actually
0:53
okay as you can see now it appeared so and it should disappear soon
0:58
so unlock it and from here can enable it to always on during charging and check
1:06
that on so now it will be showing all the time you can disable this so lift to
1:15
enable it and when it's not charging at least it won't be consuming more battery
1:20
because it still would have the ambient display would consume a tiny bit more
1:24
battery and I actually don't believe that this is an all display so it's probably being lit up entirely so it's a matter of customization
1:36
and how you prefer it to have now moving on there is a handy feature I usually
1:44
it will be found under the developer options but here there it's just
1:49
enabled by default in accessibility so let find accessibility accessibility there we go and basically what it called is the remove animations
2:06
By default, as you can see, it's turned off. And you will see animations all through the phone
2:12
kind of zooming out, in and out, and kind of like slides and stuff like that
2:17
And when you disable this, it will be all instant. There is no more animation, so it makes the use of the phone a little bit
2:25
more faster if you're trying to access some specific apps faster there is less
2:30
animations all together now if you prefer to not have it as extreme as this is
2:35
you could always just go into let's say the system and then about phone right
2:42
here and find the build number here top it seven times and you will get access to
2:48
the developer developer options when you go in here there's the same options
2:54
basically but with a little bit more customization so let's find that wherever it is I think
3:05
I've probably already passed there we go so you have window animation scale transition
3:09
animation scale and animation duration scale now by default they're set to one so that's the normal
3:15
how it behaves with the animations but when you top on it you can set it up to either
3:20
longer one which is the x point or 1.5 2 It's basically a longer animations
3:26
Now half will be basically half the speed and off is the option that we have actually in the accessibility
3:31
So you could go in here and still have the animation but just shorten them by basically half
3:37
And now there will be a little bit more snappier altogether. So we can see it a little bit faster
3:45
So it's a matter of preference if you want to have it half speed or just off
3:50
Now we can turn them off right here too and you can actually have a little bit. and you can actually have a little bit more control of for instance what you want to turn off and what you don want to so for instance window animation scale is this window that is appearing right now I could set it to let say 10 times
4:07
And as you can see, it will be super slow now. So that's one thing
4:12
Then animation scale or transition animation scale, I think it's like when you're doing stuff like that
4:19
And animation duration scale, so that's basically the length. Okay, so moving on, we're going to go into the gestures
4:29
and I don't mean like the navigation bar gestures, more like when this phone is locked
4:36
There is no options for the navigation bar, at least not in this Android version
4:41
Soon, there should be more. So let's go into the system, and we have gestures right here
4:50
And you can see a couple other things. You have turned over to reject calls, and by default, these are, or at the moment
4:56
default so you can change them as you like so turn over to reject calls mute on pickup you don't
5:03
pick up could be probably useful considering you're picking up the phone and you already know someone
5:06
is calling you so you don't need ringing to be constantly going on now other things have
5:13
so finger for notifications fingerprint so if I enable this now this isn't such a big phone but
5:22
it will allow you to then moment, it's a little bit lower
5:28
So you can see, it allows you to pull the notification panel to the fingerprint
5:35
That is kind of handy, especially when you have a bigger phone. This one is fairly easy to use in one hand, so it might not be as useful, but still nice touch anyway
5:47
Now we have things like jump to camera, which is double press off power button, I believe
5:52
Let's see, actually. just as a double press yep and straight open up their camera as you can see it and have a couple other ones so you can customize them as you like as I said Now moving on we going to go into the split screen
6:07
which isn't really anywhere stated, but basically when you go into the recent apps
6:11
by just pulling it a little bit up, you have all the apps that you have already opened
6:16
you can tap on the icon above the window, so right here, and you get the split screen
6:21
So once you tap on it, you can get to pick another one that you let's say want to open
6:25
so this that's all settings so let's pick something else like Gmail for instance cool and as
6:34
you can see now you can use both of these at the same time it's a fairly handy
6:40
feature if you the best one I for at least for what I use it is when you're watching
6:46
YouTube on one window and let's say texting on the bottom one it has a nice nice
6:53
feel when you're doing it so works fairly well. And moving on to the last one, which is more of like a tip
7:01
And when your call quality is not up to par, misbehaving, you dropping calls and have bad reception
7:11
you can always enable airplane mode by just tapping it on and it will disconnect from basically all the network
7:18
basically all the cell towers, Bluetooth, basically everything that is connected will be disconnected
7:24
And when you disable the airplane mode, it's going to reconnect. But when it comes down to cell towers, it's going to now connect to the closest one that is to you
7:32
Instead of one that you might have been previously connected to you, that might have been a little bit too far
7:39
So it will then hopefully improve their cold quality if you had some problems with it
7:45
So that would be basically all I wanted to share. And if you found this very helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe, and thanks for watching
