Welcome

InFronomiza, Huawei, Nova 9 and today I'll show you a couple tweaks and tricks you can do on this device
0:15
So we're going to begin with the first one, which is the side panel. So whenever you pull from the side, even if you're using gestures as well
0:22
you will use gestures though you will need to hold it. Otherwise it just brings up the arrow and once you let it go
0:29
it will show you this panel right here. So in here you have a bunch of different apps that are added by default
0:35
We have things like mails, notepad, gallery, and so on, whatever. And then you can all stop right here to add additional apps or see all of them
0:43
Let's see, RZ, there we go, that's what we add an app
0:47
So in here you simply just, add whatever you want, like so
0:53
Look on the checkmark, and now you have additional applications that I can launch
0:58
Normally, if you launch those, it opens them up in split screen, which is just a typical kind of thing
1:04
It's doing later, no one cares. But what you can do also is when you open up some kind of application, which for some reason this is protected, whatever
1:14
It's just open up settings. You can do the same thing right here and open up, again, the pop-up view right here, and have two different apps at the same time open
1:24
Additionally, you can resize it to something stupidly small. to the point that I barely can read what's on there and this is still fully usable
1:35
as you can see so yeah a really nice option right here and obviously you can close it if you're done with it
1:44
now moving on to the next option it's going to be the dark mode which the default phone as in light mode but you can also enable dark mode if you want to and I'm quickly looking if there is an option right here in the toggles but
1:56
but I don't see anything like that. So let's open up settings
2:00
And under the display and brightness you find dark mode So you can simply flip that on There we go And this will change this dark mode Now there is additional caveat to it by using the dark mode when you have something that is fully black
2:15
for instance like the background right here, here, just end the spaces in between
2:20
Those pixels are basically turned off. The black that is right here, because of the Ammolet display
2:26
just doesn't actually light up the pixels, so they will use less power because of that
2:31
and that will obviously give you a little bit of a longer battery life
2:35
Now this isn't anything substantial. It's not going to be like hours additional battery life
2:40
It's going to be maybe hour max or something along those lines. So I don't expect much, but it's still, I would say dark mode is still a nice option
2:49
And additionally, it gives you some reduced battery consumption. So it's a neat thing to have, or at least no
2:58
Now anyway, moving on to the next one, it's going to be the screen. resolution. Now by default, let's see what we have right here. It's going to be again under the
3:05
display and brightness. And where is it? Screen resolution right here, so it's set to smart
3:12
So you can obviously choose it to be a specific resolution right here. Maximum is just a
3:18
1080p and then a low one is the 720p. Obviously the lower resolution will save power
3:25
The resolution itself doesn't really have much of an impact on the battery life but the
3:29
processor that needs to render that resolution does and the lower the resolution
3:34
the less processing needs to be done in the background for it to be rendered
3:40
that's why you get better battery life with a lower one so again this is kind of
3:45
for battery consumption it also has sometimes effects with different applications that it will look a little bit wonky until you reboot the device when you
3:54
switch the resolution at least that's how it is on my mate 20 pro this is an old one
3:59
and running actually different Android so just keep that in mind or actually Android
4:03
unlike this but from my experience when I was changing the resolutions because I do have like
4:09
the 1440p to something like a 1080p things like playbooks for reading it started looking a little bit weirder at a lower resolution the text was really blown out so just keep that in mind Reboot solved the problem
4:26
Anyway moving on to the next option it is the screen refresh rate and again this is said to be smart
4:31
so oops not this go oh not smart but a dynamic in this case and this is probably going to be the better option for majority of us
4:41
But for the people again, I like to have more battery life. Probably standard will be way better because again
4:48
Less processing power needed more battery life Obviously this one is more preferential when it comes on to resolution sometimes you won't see any kind of difference in my opinion
4:58
But when it comes on to refresh rate this is something that you might see So if you are not aware what this does
5:05
Let me just quickly kind of Demonstrated now this will be a fairly stupid way of doing it
5:11
it but when I'm scrolling up and down quickly if you pause the video you'll
5:15
probably see a more of a blurry mess but if I for instance drop it down to 60
5:20
frames you will actually see frame something that looks really choppy and bad
5:26
and basically what it does is 120 hertz refresh rate is like imagining
5:32
or not even imagining it is exactly that 120 pictures shown in a single
5:37
second so if and as if I take second to scroll from top to bottom, there will be 160 frames shown in that process of going
5:51
from top to bottom. But if I have 60, well then you only have half of that information being shown
5:58
So same time, but way less frames in between. So things might look a little bit more choppy
6:04
So obviously more frames looks smoother, more pleasant to the eye, but the downside is better
6:11
your life. So again, something that you need to choose, would you prefer it or not. I would say
6:17
running 120 frames is way better than running 60 but that is my personal preference and I probably go just too high and set it to be capped always under that rather than having it change dynamically based on what I
6:31
looking at but again that's just my preference now anyway moving on to the last option that
6:38
I want to show you is the system navigation and now I am not aware if this is the default one with the
6:43
buttons but if it is it's going to show you how to get the gestures and if you just want to
6:47
get back the default buttons which are barely visited right now. Let's see if I can actually get them still barely visible. There we go. Now I can see them
6:56
So if you want to get back those, if they're not enabled by default, then this will show you how to do that
7:02
So anyway, in the settings, you want to scroll all the way down to system and update, then system navigation
7:10
and you have the two options right over here. Now personally, I prefer gestures, so that's what I'm going to switch with
7:14
And when you're doing this for the first time, it looks like it basically gives us a guide right here
7:20
Counter-intuitively, if you press cancel for the guide, it just cancels the entire gesture navigation
7:26
So you do have to press on start and then literally close it from here to have the gestures but not go to the tutorial
7:32
And as you can see, this removes the buttons from the bottom. It actually removes every kind of visual indication from the bottom, which I do like
7:39
And the way it works is if you swipe up and hold, you go to recent. If you swipe up quickly, there we go, for some reason it doesn't want to work here
7:48
Swipe up quickly. It goes home. So basically the middle option. And if you have some kind of up open and you want to go back, you swipe from either side as you can see
7:57
As you can see there is two different ways, two different things that can happen when you swipe up and hold it, it shows up, starts off as an arrow and then switches to this square for the side panel
8:08
So if you want to go back just a simple swipe is good enough. If you want to get the panel, you hold
8:13
So anyway, this would conclude all the tweaks and tricks on to share and if you found this very very
8:18
