Welcome. Infoomi is a Google Pixel 8 Pro and today I'll show you a couple tweaks and tricks you can do on this device
0:11
So starting off with one of my favorite ones it's going to be the Now Playing, which you can find by going into these settings and searching for
0:22
Now and it shows up as now playing. Now to have it actually function you will need to have internet connection at least at the very beginning
0:29
beginning so when you enable it it will begin downloading song database and let's
0:35
give it a second all this is downloading I'm gonna open up YouTube and prepare a
0:40
song okay so that's good to go it's still looking like it's downloading a song
0:54
so let's give it a bit longer now just to explain this it basically works like Shazam, though it's built into the device and arguably
1:05
I would say it works a little bit better than Shazam, it's more convenient most certainly
1:11
which obviously when it comes down to scribbing your songs that you hear in some stores
1:16
or whatever, convenience is one of the more important things I would argue
1:21
Now, hopefully you can actually do this. And there we go, it just needed to reload the page, so it already finished downloading it
1:28
Now, the way it works is when you lock the device, I'm going to start playing some song
1:37
I'm not sure if it's audible on the camera, but in any case, I think the phone should I be able to hear it
1:58
I There we go So it took at a moment to actually see it or hear it
2:08
It could have been that maybe the song was a little bit too quiet, so I did make it a little bit louder
2:14
And as you can see, it does show it up in here. Now another interesting thing is it's going to be scrubbing every song
2:19
that it hears in whatever you are. And later on, if, for instance, you're back home
2:24
and you remember, yeah, there was a song that was playing that you actually liked, you can go back to the now playing tab in the settings
2:31
and you'll find now playing history. And it will show you the song that it heard at specific time
2:37
and also, well, it shows you the days of the week. And you can also favorite here, and so on
2:43
So pretty neat option right here. Very nice and handy to have enabled
2:48
and it really doesn't affect not having it or basically enabling it doesn't really affect anything in the background so I highly recommend turning that on
2:58
Okay, so anyway, moving on, I'm going to now go into the settings and the display where we will find a couple different things
3:05
So we have navigation mode and here we have either Tweed button navigation or gesture navigation
3:14
so I'm going to select the gesture because that's what I prefer
3:19
And additionally, if you top on the settings right here, the gear icon
3:23
it will allow you to increase the sensitivity of the left and right back gesture
3:29
And when you start swiping it, it does show you like a blue bar that indicates where your finger needs to start that gesture from to the outside of it
3:36
to activate the actual gesture. And additionally, you do have the swipe to invoke assistance
3:42
so you do kind of like a swipe from a corner diagonally there we go and it will just simply enable your google assistant i personally don really use google assistant and this just kind of gets annoying when i sometimes would enable it so
3:55
i do prefer to have that off now going back we also have refresh rate in here so smooth display
4:05
as basically what they're calling at here instead of the refresh rate but in any case we have
4:11
60 and 120 refresh rate. Now, with this being enabled, it will run the display at 120
4:17
when you're, for instance, scrolling up and down. It will be nice and smooth. And when you're not doing anything
4:22
it should drop it down to 60 based on this message. But haven't checked it out
4:27
so that is something to go check out by going into the developer options and enabling frame rate
4:32
Or FPS, like, counter. Now, if you're planning to prioritize battery life
4:39
then you might probably want to turn that off for a better battery life
4:44
But the difference here won't be necessarily that big, and additionally, this will only affect screen on time
4:52
And another thing that only show in here is the colors. So here we have three different ones
4:57
and we have the natural and adaptive. Adaptive is basically what do you consider saturated
5:03
while natural is the less saturated one. And you have three different images to swipe through
5:08
and see how it will affect it by changing it. Now on the camera this is very unnoticeable
5:18
You can maybe see it a little bit in like the blues. Here again very subtle difference
5:26
It is a little bit more noticeable in person and not through the camera but still not that much
5:31
I personally still prefer the natural look which tones down some of the colors and makes
5:36
it actually look a little bit more realistic And moving on to the last thing that is the it going to be the copying text and stuff like that from photos So here we have
5:50
like a little bit of wonky way of doing so, which we can do either from a
5:55
screenshot by using Google Lens or by for instance having some kind of
6:02
app open like let's say this one in the settings and you have the
6:06
select option right here. This will then check out the page that is open and find all the text that is on it. It's going to
6:13
find only the text that is on the page visible. So for instance if you would have something
6:19
like the browser, just going to do good enough. So here, you can scroll down, right? So if
6:27
you would want to utilize this, it won't allow you to scroll down. It just captures what's
6:32
visible on the page right here. And anyway, from here you can select
6:37
text, copy it, paste it, and you can do the same thing with an image
6:44
So if I capture a screenshot as an example, close this, and when we go into our photos application
6:54
here's our screenshot, we can select a lens option right here. And this will again basically select or detect what is a text on here
7:04
And it also finds images, it automatically searches on the net for it
7:11
But anyway, we can, for instance, select text right here, and again, copy it, paste it, and so on
7:16
So here we go. Now, this would conclude all the tweaks that I wanted to show you, so if you found this
7:23
very helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe, and thanks for watching
