Welcome. Empfonomy is a
0:01
Xiaomi 13 light and today I'll show a couple of tweaks and the
0:05
tricks you can do on this phone. So anyway let's just get straight into it
0:13
So we're gonna begin by obviously navigating into the settings and I'm gonna start off with notifications and control center
0:21
Now in here there's one thing that I personally like. I do like a minimalistic look on my device
0:28
So that's primarily what I'm gonna focus on for the most part so anyway let just start off with the status bar section right here
0:34
and at the bottom i believe no remind or is it i think it was this one
0:44
show notification icons yeah that one so if we turn that off it will remove all these icons right
0:50
here so i have couple notifications as you can see the point that they're basically not
0:56
fitting right here anymore so i can just completely hide them from my status bar while still actually keeping them here. It gives me just a bit of a
1:08
cleaner look. Now unfortunately here we don't have options to hide these toggles. So as you can
1:14
see, NFC's turned on but I have no way of actually like hiding it unless I just straight up turn it off
1:24
which is a little bit of a shame but anyway. We also have a couple options for back
1:29
battery so battery indicator we have the one that is set by default we have just a battery or battery with a bigger like percentage text next to it also you have things like hiding the notch which at this point i don think anybody really cares about anymore though here we do have a little bit of a bigger cutout than most of the phones in recent timing so if you interested in it you can check it out right here now moving on to the next thing it going to be the dark mode which can find under the display here here here here here have the switch between light and the dark which you also are presented with this throughout the setup of your phone but which you are not presented with is the option below that
2:07
which is a scheduled dark mode. When you enable this, automatically it sets itself to sunset to sunrise
2:14
meaning that at this general time, sunset or sunrise, it will swap between a light and dark mode
2:22
So during the night time, you can have a dark mode, which will automatically turn on
2:26
and once the sun rises, it will switch to light mode. You can also select it to be on a custom timer
2:32
and provide it with specific start and end time. Now moving on to the next option
2:40
which actually was still under the display, it's the color scheme. So let's just scroll down a little bit
2:45
and it's right over here. By default, it will be set to vivid
2:50
There is option that I personally prefer, which is the original color. Now, this is basically the color
2:55
calibrated option. It might look a little bit jarring at the beginning because it does make the
3:00
display look more yellowish once you have been using this for some time. It will be a bit more
3:08
significant difference how content actually looks like. On the camera, camera isn't picking it up all
3:15
that well. But like I'm saying, if you change it on your phone, you will most likely see that
3:20
everything just kind of became more like yellowish. But don't worry, this is
3:25
The vivid mode is more bluish and just because you got used to it, that's kind of the downside of it
3:32
Now, the one that I have selected right now, which is the original colors
3:36
is basically like the name states, a color calibrated version of how colors should look like
3:42
how creator of any kind of image has intended it to look like
3:48
So that's what I prefer myself. Obviously, you can check out things like saturated, vivid, and we also have advanced
3:55
events settings right here which allows you to customize it even further so display all screen content in p3 color gamut so this is also color calibrated mode as well as the srgb these are just two different color collaborations in a way
4:09
i believe i'm not like super well versed in this kind of uh as rgb and p3 i know that these are
4:18
just like collaborations uh yeah color gamets uh but i don't exactly know how they differ to be honest
4:28
thing between them there is so piece we looks a little bit brighter so you can see it on
4:38
the pencils like specific colors not even all of them so for instance blue doesn't seem to be
4:42
changing at all green also oops so the pinkish the orange and more reddish colors are changing
4:54
only at least from what I can see but yeah I Both of them should be technically color calibrated gamets so and which one of you can select whichever one of them you want
5:07
If you're looking obviously for color calibrated options. Now if you don't, if you just like the vivid mode, it's obviously completely fine as well
5:16
Now moving on to next thing, it's going to be the gesture navigation
5:21
Now this is... was it? Home screen
5:31
There we go. So it's under home screen. You'll have system navigation. And here we can swap between them
5:37
So you have gestures. It asks us if we want to learn them. No, I'm pretty sure I can figure it out on my own already
5:44
After several years of using them. And you also have an indication right here
5:49
just an animation of how you can use your gesture navigation. Now, if you never use them before, just a quick little guide
5:56
Swip up to go home. Swip up hold to go to resell. to go to recent and swipe from either side to go back Pretty simple I would say Now going back into home screen and the system navigation we have another option which is gesture confirmation No there we go This is what I looking for
6:14
Hide full screen indicator. What this will do is hide these, just these buttons
6:24
So again, going back to what I started from the beginning, it just gives you a cleaner look for your device
6:29
so not only do you remove the buttons, you also remove the bar and it's hidden or invisible
6:36
but it's still there. So you still navigate through your phone the same way. It still brings up the back button, as you can see
6:45
but you just don't have the indicator right here at the bottom. Anyway, moving on to the last option
6:52
which this will be just removing the Google, the hey Google, or however you want to call it
6:59
when you hold your power button. So this thing. I personally don't like it
7:04
I don't know how many people tend to use this. I am one of those people that just absolutely despises it
7:09
Never use it. If I have to hold the button and talk to my phone, I might as well just do the action
7:14
that I'm going to tell the device to do for me. So I prefer to have that off
7:19
just because I have more use for the actual power button rather than the Google Assistant
7:24
So if you want to disable this, all you need to do is navigate all the way down
7:28
in the settings, additional settings and then you're looking for gesture shortcuts, launch Google Assistant
7:40
toggle that off, and now when you hold your power button, it brings up your typical boot menu
7:46
So there we go. Now with this being said, this would conclude all the tweaks and tricks that want to show you
7:51
so if you found this very helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks for watching
