Welcome, I'm Philomys at Technospark.co and today I'll show you a couple tweaks and tricks you can do on this device
0:11
So jumping straight into it, we're going to open up settings and navigate to the display section
0:18
or display and brightness and in here I'm going to start off with a dark theme. So here we have a toggle for it. You can obviously turn on the dark theme, turn it off, but also when you tap on the actual
0:29
text right here, it will give you an option to set it up as a schedule
0:35
Obviously when selected you can have it set on a custom timer or from sunset to sunrise and this
0:40
will make it so the device will switch between the modes depending on the time of day, which is a
0:47
pretty neat option. Now moving on to the next thing, it's going to be the status bar network which is
0:51
also under the display and brightness and personally I just like a more clean look of the device and
0:57
I don't really care about the network speed which is visible right here. So you can turn it off right
1:03
here at the bottom of display brightness section and this will just hide it away. Now moving on to
1:09
the next option, it's going to be the themes right here which is in the main settings, a little bit
1:14
lower, themes and unlock screen and you have my themes. Now by default you only have the iOS one
1:21
but you can go to the online and check out the entire like store of themes. There are free ones
1:28
as you can see but there is probably ones that are paid as well. So keep that in mind that not
1:34
every one of them will be free, assuming we have a label for free. If all of them would be free
1:41
this wouldn't be needed. So keep that in mind. Now moving into the next thing, it's the system
1:47
navigation which you can find by going all the way down to system and then system navigation
1:56
and selecting gestures. This will remove the navigation bar from the bottom and substitute it
2:03
for gestures. There we go. So now to navigate to your device you swipe up to go home. I did swipe
2:13
up and hold which takes me to recent. Swipe up as you can see takes me home and also swipes from
2:19
the side will take me back one page. So I consider this to be a fairly intuitive way of navigating
2:25
the device and I personally do really like it. So give it a shot, maybe you will like it too
2:32
Now moving on the last thing, it's a pretty simple one but still could be useful for some people
2:38
It's the locking of application. When you go to recent applications as I just did, you have
2:43
this little lock option above each one of these applications that is running right now. Now the
2:50
reason you might find use for this is if you're using applications like Spotify as an example
2:56
So as you probably know, I tend personally I tend to just kind of do this and all apps just get
3:02
automatically shut down. If Spotify is one of those apps that you're listening to right now
3:08
that also gets turned off and stops playing music. But when you actually add this
3:15
kind of lock to an application, so just to showcase this, I'm gonna lock it and as you can see I have
3:22
two apps open right now. This one is actually locked too so that's why I'm gonna actually
3:26
unlock it. There we go. So now if I would do the cleanup it would only close one up and keep the
3:35
other one open. As you can see it's still open. So if you're locking apps like Spotify as an example
3:41
you close off all the other applications apart from the ones that are locked, which is Spotify
3:46
is one of them, it will stay open and continue to play the music and be unaffected by you just
3:51
closing up any other application. Which is a pretty nice thing and it's something that I recommend
3:56
utilizing if you tend to use some kind of app frequently and also that app is affected obviously
4:03
by you closing it. So like I mentioned Spotify for me is one of those apps
4:10
Anyway, with this being said, if you found this very helpful don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks for watching
