Welcome. In Phenomia I have the Stream Deck Xl and I'll go over unboxing along with just a quick glance of how this actually functions
0:10
So I did already download the software on my computer so I'll plug it in and just kind of we'll see how that actually works once it's unpacked
0:21
So anyway, let's get straight going. So we do have like some kind of quick start guide
0:30
I'm wasting of paper. Okay, I do commend the fact that they did include a nice looking manual for it, but like
0:44
come the hell on, like, can you waste more paper? Anyway, let's just get the actual deck out
1:00
And here we got a rated cable. So it's a Type C to Type A
1:09
And just another manual. And what is the purpose of this? Anyway, that's basically what we got in here
1:22
So let's unpack this. Now I'll be honest I actually never used this in my life so should be an interesting experience
1:43
Rubberized surface on the back. It's actually quite a bigger than I expected to be honest
1:56
The button tactility, oh that's nice. That actually I don know feels actually really nice Anyway I not gonna use this cable I got my own so just quickly plug it in
2:22
Oh, okay. Just lay it down like this as well. I think I would prefer more
2:31
Actually, let's just plug it in. Where's the... Am I blind
2:45
Where do I plug it in? There is no port. Well, I guess there is a reason for the Quick Start guide
3:13
Visible confusion. Am I
3:25
Oh, goodness, there it is. of stupidity there
3:39
Okay, there we go finally. Couldn't locate a port, that's the first
3:46
Anyway, you can see that it turns on. Now I will mention something that probably won't be as visible on a camera from what I can
3:52
see already as in person the screen is like way down there
3:58
So it is a decent like centimeter below the actual button and on the camera it kind of looks like it's right on the surface almost
4:07
But if I move it to the side you can see So if this is the surface of it you can see how deep the actual button is So from what I can see how this works like is this screen doesn move
4:23
it's basically underneath and whenever you press the button, I just pressing the button
4:27
while the screen is still positioned in the same place so it's not part of the button
4:32
But anyway, what do we get here? Oh, it just opens up the website. Not really what I wanted to do
4:38
stream deck already got the software it's right here so so I guess
4:48
basically that's how it looks like I'm not really gonna go I guess in too deep with it and it would probably take me some time to figure it out how it actually
4:56
works so there would be a separate video strictly for this this is just kind of
5:00
like an unboxing and just plugging it in so you can see I was hoping that I could see a little bit more button buttons filled out in here but
5:08
As you can see, yeah, that's not really what I got. There we go, create a new one
5:22
So obviously you can create an entire, well, basically 32 different buttons
5:28
And I think you can also, yeah, you can basically create folders in here and all that stuff
5:33
So I can have layers upon layers in a way. As you can probably see, this is just a button that opens up the web browser for the Elgado
5:43
But right here, the folder that I created, I can open up the folder. And in here, I can have a completely different set of things, plus probably more folders, if I am correct
5:52
Yep. So I can have a folder instead of a folder. Basically, it works like a Windows wood in this kind of manner
6:00
So, yeah. Really handy, too. Works really nicely from what I can see right now
6:05
I'll mention one additional thing which kind of got me interested in just this
6:12
in general as in kind of like the stream deck kind of thing and I don mean like the Elgado ones which is that Razor made their own stream controller It called Razor Stream Controller
6:26
And in certain cases, it might be a little bit designed in a better way
6:31
because it does have a couple dials. It has actual physical buttons, plus a bunch of actual buttons like these
6:41
It's called it exactly like these. plus touch surfaces like a basically something like
6:47
three buttons long where you can just for instance have things like controlling volume
6:52
and all that stuff so it is a little bit nicer in terms of execution
6:57
with more versatility compared to this where you have only the buttons
7:01
so if you're interested in purchasing something like that maybe also check out
7:04
the Razor Steam controller which might be something that you might prefer more
7:10
it will be a little bit smaller in terms of how many buttons you have
7:15
just actual pressible buttons that have displays because there's like... what is it
7:24
12 buttons? Yeah, I think it's 12 buttons plus about 3 button-wide touch set surfaces on both sides
7:35
So you count that in. You have six more in a way
7:39
but they're not really like buttons, they're just touched. So yeah. So I would recommend checking it out
7:47
Like I said, it might be a little bit smaller, so it probably would come closer to just the typical stream deck
7:53
I think it's somewhere like in between these two. But like I said, it might have way more versatility for some people, which might be something that someone would be actually looking for more over just the simple button layout like this has
8:06
But anyway, that's basically it. yet not much more to say about it. So if you found this very helpful, don't forget to hit like

subscribe and thanks for watching
