through recovery mode and also get rid of a screen lock if you have one that you don't know

So when I lock the device you will be able to see that I do have a pattern set and I'll progress

from here as though I don't know it. So to get started you will want to hold your power key

select power off and once the phone turns off hold power key and I think it's volume up

So we'll see in a second. So it looks like it's not volume up. I'm just gonna let it turn back on

and go and try volume down in this case. Oops, whatever. Power key volume down

There we go. So that's where we need it to be. From here you want to use volume keys to

navigate through the options that are visible right here and we're looking specifically for recovery mode. Once you see it confirm it with power key

So you will see then Android with no command so hold power key and press volume up once

This will then redirect us to the recovery mode. From here again using volume keys you want to

scroll down in order to select wipe data factory reset confirm it with power key

and select factory data reset. Once you confirm that it will give you a message

formatting data at the bottom and then data wipe complete. At which point reboot system now should

be selected by default so press power key once again. This will initiate that reboot and continue

the process in the background. Now this will take the device a little bit longer than you might be

used to to turn it back on that is because it is continuing the process in the background

So give it like a minute to two minutes, right about something like that. And once it's finished
