Welcome. FME is an iPhone 15 Pro, and today I'll go over unboxing along with a quick
0:06
look at the device and see what has changed between the new iterations of it
0:14
So anyway, let's just get straight into it. Packaging, as again probably gather, nothing has changed here. And we still have these nice pool tabs
0:23
I do have to say I do like that. It makes unboxing much simpler. And right at the bat, we have our phone
0:30
Then we get a braided cable. That's actually pretty nice. It's a Type C to Type C
0:39
That's the first change. And, well, almost the only change. Then we get some little garbage designed by Apple in California, manufactured by little children in China
0:52
Just didn't include that one. Okay, let's get a look at the device
1:00
peel that off and put it up. We still have the dynamic island as they call it
1:08
Now the benefit now is that the 15 non-pro also has it unlike previous generation
1:16
So, okay, I do have to say one thing that has changed the design
1:24
Previously the edges of the device were a little bit more sharper and rougher
1:29
the device is a little bit better in hand. Now it's a very minuscule thing but it's honestly the first thing that I noticed when I grabbed the device and held it normally as I would
1:37
do, hold it, well as I would hold a normal phone. So it actually makes it feel a little bit nicer
1:44
Now jumping into the specs, let's start off with the display. It looks like the bezels got even
1:49
smaller nowadays, but they still haven't removed that ugly-ass little dynamic island. It's like a band-aid to a problem that
1:59
Instead of fixing it, they just kind of like stuck them in the answer, like, yep, that's fixed, cool
2:04
So anyway, let's just round on the specs. So display is a 6.1 inch display, 1179 pixels by 2556
2:13
So it's basically 1080p display, a little bit over that. It is a LTP super retina XDR OLED display
2:23
Now, just a simple term, it's a 120 hertz refresh rate of OLED display
2:28
Whoopty solved it for you Apple made it much simpler and more digestible to a normal person that is looking at this speclist and trying to figure out what the heck is LTP They should have stuck with just the without the R and XD because like seriously Now moving on to a bit more usable information about the display
2:51
it peaks at a 2,000 net brightness, meaning it gets freakishly bright
2:55
And that is a good thing for a device, especially when you're using it outside and it's super bright
3:00
This will make this device one of the easiest things to see during the like daytime and sunlight
3:07
so pretty nice. Moving on down the list, in terms of the battery that's honestly a very
3:14
laughable battery size right here. It's a 3,274 milliampar battery. For a device this size
3:21
this I would have expected to have 4,000 a half thousand battery. Yeah, a little bit low in
3:29
my opinion here. But just to kind of be the devil's advocate I guess, Apple does
3:36
tend to limit their battery usage on the device based on the software pretty well, so this
3:42
device still will have a fairly good battery life nonetheless, even though the battery cell right
3:48
here is on a smaller side. Now imagine what could have they done if they included 4,000-a-half-thousin battery
3:55
Mind-blowing. It would be probably one of the longer-lasting devices. But they can't have that, because that's designed for Apple 15 Pro Max
4:06
Anyway, moving on, this device comes with a no surprise Apple A17 Pro chipset
4:15
So just a newer one. Now the major change now is that it apparently supports ray tracing because that's what we all
4:23
cared about to have ray tracing on the device. We didn't get rid of the island, we just added more crap to the device to make it more sellable
4:32
Now I believe this will be perhaps. probably better for the headsets, the VR headset, oh sorry, spatial computing headsets
4:45
For the phones, I don't think it matters that much that the device can do ray tracing nowadays
4:49
But like I said, gaming on a VR probably a pretty decent thing to have
4:55
So that will be nice to see once Apple drops the $3,500 device
5:01
For the phones, like I mentioned, I see very little, usability for this kind of feature and probably would have been better to spend that like
5:10
resources for the device and some other places like mind-blowing idea hiding dynamic island
5:18
just you know thinking out loud here I not even copywriting this Apple so you can use that Anyway moving on we have 8 gigabytes of RAM built into the device
5:31
with 128 gigabytes of storage. That is the very base version, the lowest end of it
5:37
And it goes up to 1 terabyte. Now, that can get pretty huge, to be honest
5:43
There's a joke to be made there. Anyway, now the storage is right here are N-VME
5:50
So they will be blazing fast. So in terms of recording at 4K, 8K, stuff like that, or editing videos on the device, no problem
5:58
This advice will chew through that without much of a hesitation. Now, let's flip over to the cameras
6:05
In terms of cameras, we have a triple camera setup, and the main one is a 48 megapixel white sensor, F1.8, 24 millimeters
6:13
Then we get a 12 megapixel F2.877 millimeters telephoto lens. 12 megapixel, F2.30mm, 30mm
6:22
120 degree field of view, ultra-wide lens. Now with those cameras, you can shoot out 4K, 60 frames max
6:30
30, 25, 24 are also available, and same thing goes for the 1080p
6:35
but 1080p has an addition of having 120 and 240 slow motion
6:41
Oh, that was a quick list of specs for the cameras. Now let's flip it over to the front
6:46
and we have another camera right here, and that is a 12 megapixel F1.9
6:50
23mm wide lens. So there we go. And in terms of recording, 4K, same thing as the back ones
6:58
And 1080p. It just lacks the 240 frames per second slow motion
7:06
But it still has the 120. So anything else to say here
7:12
I'm trying to see if I missed anything. Oh, charging speeds. So I didn't touch upon those just yet
7:20
So I did mention the battery size. Now, in terms of wire, the charging speeds, it's advertised that it's going to get the device to 50% in 30 minutes
7:27
And wireless with MaxA, 15. It just says that it supports it
7:31
So 15 watts wireless, max 8, and 7.5 watts wireless cheat charging
7:38
Because these are plenty two different standards, even though they're basically, if I'm correct, both work on the same basis
7:45
Just one is a proprietary technology from Apple. That is copyrighted. So there we go
7:51
That's the not so new, brand new iPhone. So like I mentioned, not much more has changed
7:58
Actually like I probably kind of skipped over glanced over We do have a Type C port nowadays So no longer do you have to buy the Apple certified cables Nice Now just that being said it not like Apple did it because
8:19
they wanted to like they claimed on the, what is it, WWBC that they had. They did it because
8:26
European Union is the smart one and forced them into this. So if they could, they obviously
8:32
They obviously wouldn't give you the type C because they make way too much freaking money selling people the actual allowance
8:40
or basically a pass to sell Apple certified products. Now they don't have the ability to do that anymore because I can use this cable
8:49
And it will work just as well as this cable. Go figure
8:55
So that's the biggest change on the device and basically the only change on the device
9:02
The other one would be the processor, but that is expected when you're getting a new device
9:07
You would expect it to give you at least something new. And still, for over a thousand euros, I think it is
9:18
I think the device in the USB costs about $1,000. So in any case, for a thousand bucks, if you have the previous one, don't upgrade it
9:25
It's just you're producing e-waste right there. And as Apple wants to fork out there, oh, we're so eco-friend
9:32
instead of producing devices every single freaking year, how about we just produce them once every three years
9:39
and make them significantly better and more viable for upgrades? Crazy idea there
9:45
So yeah, if you have the previous one, don't upgrade it. I'm kind of meaming with the environment and all that stuff, to be honest
9:53
because I know that whoever wants to upgrade will upgrade, but if you really care about it, that's not the purpose for me saying it
10:02
The purpose is this device provides you so little upgrade that it questions why we even upgrade it
10:11
So with just a faster processor, which already the previous one was basically one of the fastest things you can have anyway
10:17
it's really redundant to upgrade to another fastest processor that has no competition
10:24
that still does everything as well as the previous one does. And the device still looks the same
10:30
The only difference is the type C. Yeah. Anyway, that being said, I hope you found this video helpful, fun in some way if you did
