Welcome. And follow me. I have the brand new Apple iPad Pro and today I'll go
0:05
of unboxing along with a bunch of thoughts I have on this entire lineup of
0:10
garbage that Apple produced. This absolute scam that they have going on right now
0:19
So anyway let's just go straight to it. Now I will actually open up a little
0:25
page so I know what to talk about. So Okay. Anyway, let's pop it open
0:37
So this is the 11 inch version. Come on, there we go
0:44
And you see we get the tablet itself. Throw that to the side. We get some paperwork. Throw that to the side. We get a charger
0:52
This will be a 20 watts charger. And then we get a type C to type C cable
1:00
Now I also have an Apple pencil on the side and I do have the magic keyboard but I think that one is for the just a typical non-pro, just the iPad from 2022
1:13
So I don't think I'm going to include that. I might mention some things about it
1:19
But these will be just mentions and rents in correlation to the iPad itself and well also in correlation to this iPad
1:28
So anyway, let's just open it up. Hello, focus camera. There we go. Thank you. So here we got the iPad
1:40
Let's turn it on. There we go. So while it's turning on, let's quickly go over the specs
1:47
We are looking at an 11-inch display. It's a 1668 pixels by 2388 pixels. It's a liquid retina IPSLC to display with 120
1:58
30 Hertz refresh rate. HDR 10, 9,000 plus, so it's not certified
2:03
Adobe Vision and typical brightness of 600 nits. 82.9% screen-to-body ratio, 256 pixels per inch
2:12
Running iPad OS 16.1, though, I'm pretty sure this one is just running 16 because it hasn't been updated just yet
2:19
So there we go. Benefit over the typical iPad, just a crappier version of this, this one
2:26
is that we actually get a high refresh rate here and a laminated display
2:32
Would you look at that? Lominated meaning that the display has basically no gap of air between the actual glass
2:39
that you touch and the display that is under it. Unlike this trash right here, which does
2:45
Hopefully you can kind of see this kind of like depth in here
2:50
It's really hard to show you with crappy lighting that I have, but in better lighting you can see that display
2:56
ends and then you have like this just deeper area nothing there and then you see the actual
3:02
bezels that are black right here it's absolutely abhorrent especially for the price increase that
3:07
they have now one thing that i'll mention right here the ipad pro did not come with any kind of
3:13
price hike unlike the typical ipods so this is coming at 799 u.s if i remember correctly and
3:20
quickly check yep 799 dollars so with that being said uh it's
3:26
running and an Apple M2 chipset comes with a couple different versions
3:35
So we have 128 gigs of start with 8 gigs of RAM at the very basic of it
3:39
and it can come up to 2 terabytes of storage with 16 gigs of RAM
3:46
Now one benefit of this device right now is that it actually comes with a type C port
3:50
and not by Apple's choice. Let me assure you on that one. Apple is now just a little
3:56
forced into including these because European Union basically spank them over the head and told them a bad apple include the type C because that basically a standard and it better than your trash port but guess where Apple
4:09
didn't include the type C port where they don't have to like right here so this is the
4:15
Apple Pencil second generation second generation my ass because it's still running a outdated
4:21
lightning port on it so what you get in here is a pen that just kind of
4:28
Oh, come on. So what you get in here is a crappy little pen
4:37
that now includes a hover feature. I'm pretty sure Apple probably tells you that it's revolutionary
4:45
and whatever the trash they tell you. Let's be honest, if Samsung phones had since like inception of it, so yeah
4:53
Anyway, there's our little pen. and see. There's a little charging for it
5:02
This one doesn't... Okay, so this one is not even the chargeable one
5:06
Okay, so anyway. So, um, there we go. Now, see how it actually works
5:15
Oh, that does not great. Fantastic. I don't really feel like pairing it right now
5:21
I don't think I even can at the moment, so fantastic. Anyway, so here we get the Type C port, we get, like I mentioned, the iPad OS 16.1, we have dual camera setup at the back, there we go, at the back, and this dual camera setup is a 12 megapixel white sensor and 10 megapixel ultra wide
5:43
And at the front, right here, in a very stupid orientation, we have another sensor, this is a selfie, 12 megapixel, ultra wide
5:50
Another reason why I say that this is a stupid positioning of the camera is because if you tend to use this device as a pro like it's kind of designed, then you'll probably be using an alternative of this, just some kind of magic keyboard for it. So you can use it as a semi-laptop, as their stupid commercials suggest, right? What's a laptop, right? I'm pretty sure we all seen that cringe
6:15
so if you do such a thing you will have your tablet in let's guess a landscape position
6:23
meaning your camera right now is on the side sideways well thought out a billion dollar
6:31
company and can't even figure out that their pro lineup would be used as a laptop as they're
6:36
advertising it and yet they included the camera on the side instead of or on top of the
6:43
device instead of on the side when it's in kind of like laptop position
6:48
Give yourself just pat on the back apple. You couldn't F that up even harder
6:54
Oh wait, no, you actually could. Another thing here is the connectivity
6:59
So they dropped a bunch of different vans right here but I'm not even going to touch upon those
7:04
What I'm going to touch upon is the inclusion of Wi-Fi 6E. Now when I say inclusion of, it's just included on paper. It supposedly has a
7:13
Wi-Fi 6, but what it doesn't have is support for 6 gigahertz Wi-Fi, which is the whole
7:19
damn shtick of Wi-Fi 6. I am literally speechless of the stupidity here
7:30
So, I'm honestly not sure what to say. I hope that this explanation speaks just for itself, Wi-Fi 6 without functioning Wi-Fi 6
7:43
So it's like buying a motorcycle and getting just motorcycle that rides on one wheel
7:49
Because why not? So yeah, I genuinely have very little to say positive things about this device
8:00
I genuinely have very little to say positive things about Apple in general But I will try here my best So because this is running an Apple M2 chipset
8:11
this tablet will be stupidly powerful for such a tiny little device
8:18
So that's one of the benefits. But as a device that is supposedly pro
8:23
I still have a little bit of doubts in here for what it has
8:28
so the single USB port, it's nice that they included a Type C port in general
8:35
But still, I would probably like to see a dungle, considering this is a pro device that supports nothing
8:39
in terms of just out of the box. You don't have expendable storage
8:45
So if you're planning to, for instance, do some professional work and you need to plug in your anything
8:51
you need to have conversions to Type C, drive from Type A to Type C, for instance
8:56
or maybe you already luckily have one, then you can use it but in a pro device I would expect such a thing to be included in the box
9:04
like the pen as well it's a freaking pro device where's the effing pen in it
9:11
Samsung can do it even with their phones for a cheaper price why can't you freaking include this
9:19
stupid thing that already costs way too much so anyway just to actually touch upon the pen
9:25
which, like I said, it's already costing too much. This comes right now at $130
9:32
or more precisely $29, but whatever. I'm pretty sure once you're spending $130 on a pen
9:38
you won't really care about one extra dollar in the price tag that I just added
9:42
So this is a second generation of it, and, yeah, it basically works with the new devices and only the new devices
9:53
the previous pens aren't compatible with the newer devices because screw you if you already had an Apple pencil first generation
10:01
you now get to have two pencils, which one becomes unusable. Fantastic design. It's not like they couldn't make it. I'm pretty sure this is just a matter of programming
10:12
and support for the older pencil. But yeah, you don't get that. It's Apple. Obviously you don't get that
10:19
Now one thing that I'll mention right here over the previous devices, at least this pencil
10:24
is priced accurately if we consider a price inflation, a correct price inflation
10:31
So this pencil, at least the first one, was released in 2015, or at the end of 2015
10:38
And if we counter that in for price inflation, today it would cost, well, still a little bit
10:43
less than they're charging it, but it would be right about $120 US
10:47
So whatever, like nine bucks more, eight bucks more that they want. It's okay
10:52
I would say it's very close to what it's supposed to be. But if we also consider price inflation, that price should be increased from year to year
11:00
But they decided to drop the first gen at the end of 2022 and substitute it for second gen at the end of 22
11:08
So we went from having a price of 99 to 130. And if we consider that right now, this pen went from 99, so at the end of 2022
11:21
let's make it even beginning, just to give it some time. Then this pencil should cost $100, about $3, if we're taking consideration
11:33
price inflation from February to September. Greatly done there. but like I said this is probably the least egregious price hike
11:45
one of the biggest and most egregious ones was in this thing
11:54
now this is designed I believe for the iPod just the iPad not the pro you quickly make sure
12:03
oh no it also supports iPad Pro so you know what I going to go full balls to the walls with this one and trash it as much as I can because that what it deserves So let just I already did make
12:15
myself a little notepad right there with information. So number one if you remember
12:22
last year we got the iPad magic keyboard. I think it was called exactly the same
12:29
but the difference is that just open that up that the other one was better
12:36
and cheaper and again I will be countering in the price inflation for this
12:44
I just open it up so the previous one not this one
12:51
costed $159 which is okay price I guess I'm not going to complain about it
12:59
So, $159. And it was about the same kind of thing as you get right here
13:07
So let's just open that up. So you can see how this one looks like. It's not a nice white, which I don't think it's going to stay white for very long
13:16
But that's just... That's your choice anyway. Boom, there we go. There is our little cover
13:25
And bend it. I'm going to zoom out the camera. There we go
13:32
And you can just slap in your little tablet here. Boom. Fantastic, right
13:38
It looks okay. The track pad is just a little bit small. But you probably just realized that this has no function keys like the previous one did
13:51
So previous one had similar function keys to what MacBooks have, with, you know, media controls, brightness controls
13:59
volume controls, all that stuff. A really nice thing to have for an Apple product
14:04
that comes with a keyboard. No, this one doesn't. And the more ridiculous thing that they did
14:10
is the price. So this now costs, instead of $159, costs $249
14:18
That is absolutely effing ridiculous. Now, if we counter in the price for price inflation
14:26
let's just quickly do that. so we're looking price inflated since I think it was
14:34
what just do October 2021 I think that's when it was released
14:38
I know it was somewhere at the end of 2021 price inflated inflation
14:42
oh right it costs $170 if it was released now with the actual
14:47
accurate price inflation now keep in mind that this actually took less resources to create
14:55
because it's lacking another row off keys right here. So in general
15:00
this should be cheaper to manufacture probably by couple cents because it's mass produced and whatever
15:08
But still it has less features in it so in theory it should cost even less but no
15:14
Apple decided to show you the biggest middle finger already pre-looped for you
15:18
and crank up the price by nearly $100 for a keyboard. For a
15:25
eth-in keyboard. So there we go. That is probably one of the worst things that I've seen so far in tech industry
15:36
And I've seen a couple different things already. So yeah, fantastic. Get aft, I guess
15:44
That's the closest thing that I can describe this product to be their motto
15:49
So, yeah. Anyway, that would basically conclude my rant about this atrocity that we received this year
15:57
