Welcome! In front of me is a Philips S318 and today I will show you how to
0:10
boot the device into factory mode. So to start off you wanna hold power key and
0:15
then select power off. Now keep in mind I'm at 4% battery so we'll see if the
0:20
device will turn back on. So let's just tap on power off and once it's off you
0:26
want to hold the power key and volume down. So power, volume down. Hold both of
0:32
the keys together till you see the Philips logo on the screen. Okay and you
0:41
can let go once it is visible. And we're right now in factory mode. So right here
0:52
you will use a volume down to navigate like so. Volume up does not go up so you
0:57
will have to cycle through the entire list. And power key will be used to
1:00
confirm whatever we select. Now keep in mind that at least on this device it's
1:04
not in English so I'll basically describe the first option as a
1:08
automatic test run that basically goes through all the tests of the phone
1:12
testing each component. Then the second one is a manual where you get to choose
1:17
each part individually that you want to test. Then you have some test logs. Clear
1:22
EMMC is a way of hard resetting the device. And then you have I think again
1:29
some kind of logs that you can test or not test but check out. And the last
1:33
option is a reboot. So whatever you select you want to press the power key
1:38
to confirm it. Now I'm gonna select the reboot which is the last option to boot
1:42
back up into the normal Android with a hope that it's actually gonna boot back
1:46
up with a sufficient amount of battery. I guess we'll see. But yeah that is
1:54
basically how you access and also leave the fastboot mode. As you can see it's back in the Android
2:15
