How to Turn On and Set Up the Personal Hotspot Feature on the HUAWEI Mate 50 Pro

Welcome. Erfenomi is a Huawei Mate 50 Pro and today I'll show you how you can enable and also set up your portable hotspot

So to get started pull down your toggles from the top right side of the screen

and find the hotspot toggle. For me it's right over here and it's called Personal Hotspot. Now once you see this toggle, first time around you want to hold it

This will take you quickly to the settings where you can customize how the hotspot actually functions

So probably one of the most important things you can change right here would be the password

So as you can see by default it is just randomly generated. We can remove this one. It is garbage so it's simpler to get rid of it and set up your own

Now your new password does need to have at least 8 characters in length which mine does now

So I'm going to confirm it. And that's really all I would recommend changing

The rest of the settings right here are set to function with every phone or device that you would want to connect to this hotspot with

But if you know what you're doing, obviously under more you'll find more settings

So you could change them to fit your needs if some of them might, because some of the settings might just work a little bit better

Obviously if you don't know what these do, don't change them. So from here once you have set it up, the password meaning, you can find the toggle once more, tap on it and this will activate your hotspot

You can now connect to it and use it. And once you're done with it you can just turn it off by tapping on it once more

And in the settings I believe there was also an option to turn it off automatically after 5 minutes of inactivity

I do recommend keeping this on. This will preserve your battery when you forget to turn off your hotspot once you're done with it

Otherwise it will be just running indefinitely in the background and consuming your battery life for no reason
