This is Xiaomi Redmi 12C and today I would like to demonstrate how you can set up rental controls on this device
0:11
So to start, you will need to launch the settings app. Then go into the accounts and sync category
0:21
See if you have any Google accounts added. If you have some, you gotta get rid of those accounts by removing them
0:28
Once you have no Google accounts added or linked, you can just re-enter Google category of settings
0:40
Then tap at the parental controls, get started, child routine, next. Onwards, you will need to sign in to your child's Google account or sign up for one, if you do not have it
1:00
After you have typed in your email address, or rather child's email address and password, just proceed with the Google login as you would normally do
1:17
Then choose the account you have just signed into from the list over here
1:25
It should appear right about now. Then you will need to enter another Google account credentials, this time for the Google account belonging to you as a parent or supervisor
1:36
Or to put it in other terms, enter the account credentials for the Gmail account you will be using for supervising your child's activity
1:46
So you know the drill, enter the email address, follow it by typing in your password
1:56
Then once the account gets checked, you will be forwarded to the next About Supervision page
2:02
Scroll it all the way down, type in the password to the child's Gmail account one more time
2:10
Tap at the agree button. At the following dialog window, go for the allow
2:20
Wait for the parent and child accounts to get respectively linked. Then hit the next button
2:33
This step we can skip as for right now since we will also be able to do it later on
2:39
And currently we are more focused on finishing this setup sooner. So just ignore it
2:50
The same pretty much more or less applies for the following step, which will allow you to initially set up age and content restrictions
3:02
So we'll skip this step as well. From here, if the device that is written in the bold font over here, or highlighted rather, is the device that you will use as a parent
3:15
you can tap at the blue Install Family Link button and get the required app automatically downloaded and installed on your phone
3:23
Or you can just skip this step and manually get the aforementioned application
3:29
So at the child's end, everything was more or less completed. Now take your parental phone, download and install the Google Family Link app, which you can get absolutely for free from the Google Play Store
3:46
Once you are ready to launch it, you will need to sign into the app
3:52
Make sure to log in with the parental account you have earlier
3:56
Enter the credentials for Here is Mine. And then inside the application itself, you can do all kinds of stuff with your child's phone
4:07
For example, you can set up the daily usage limits, the downtime routine, manage apps that your child has an access to and monitor the app activity
4:19
Then apply content and age restrictions, configure the account, and then you're good to go
4:27
Monitor the app activity. Then apply content and age restrictions. Configure the account settings
4:37
Manage devices. Monitor your child's live location. See your child's device usage highlights
4:44
And well, that would be it. So, thanks for watching, thanks for your attention, and bye-bye
