hard reset the device through recovery mode. Now this process will also remove a screen lock if

you have one that for instance you don't know. Now for this we will actually need a computer and a

cable. So plug the cable to the computer and connect it to your device like so

And from here I'm gonna also... it doesn't matter here... I'm gonna also lock the device just so you

can see I do have a pattern set. And from here from the lock screen what you want to do is hold

power key and volume down and you will hold it till basically the screen turns off at which

point you will switch from volume down to volume up. So you start off with holding power and volume

down and then power volume up. So let's do it right now. I'm gonna get the screen power volume down

Okay and now let's switch to volume up. Now you want to do it immediately after the screen turns off

And there we go. We are now in the recovery mode. Now from here you will want to use volume keys in

order to select the option wipe data factory reset and then confirm it with power key. Again let's

select factory data reset. Confirm that. We'll begin. Data wipe complete. Basically the process

already finished and reboot system now selected by default. So press power key once more

and this will simply initiate a reboot of the device. Now this will also continue the reset
