Welcome, I'm Francis and this is a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra and today I'll show you
0:13
how you can hardly set the device through recovery mode. Now this process will also remove things like screen lock
0:19
So as you've seen, I do have one set right here and I'll progress from the lock screen
0:24
as though I don't know it because if you are aware, if you try to power off the device
0:28
when you don't know your pattern, you kind of can't do it. So you normally hold power key and volume down
0:35
There we go. And when you try to select power off, as you can see, it tells you, nah, put in the pattern
0:44
But this is just an annoyance and can be easily bypassed, so all we will need to do is get
0:49
a cable, I'm going to plug it in, assuming it actually does anything
0:58
Now it is connected to my computer, though it doesn't really show it at all for some reason
1:02
I don't know what's wrong right now, but just regarding this, I know that you need a cable
1:07
and I'm pretty sure it's connected, considering we will most likely successfully put into
1:13
recovery mode. So anyway, let's actually lock the device. There we go
1:19
Now you want to see the lock screen just because it's going to be easier for you to define
1:23
if the device is off or on. And to get started, you want to hold power key and volume down at the same time
1:30
This will forcibly turn off the device without you needing to actually put in the damn pattern
1:37
pin or password to power it off. So you just completely bypass this
1:43
And once the screen turns off, meaning the tablet also turns off, you want to switch
1:47
from volume down to volume up. So I'm going to do it right now
1:50
Now to keep the screen on, you can keep on interacting with it. So for example, I'm going to start holding it right now and I'm just going to be tapping
2:00
on it. Whoops. I just changed my position of hands. There we go
2:06
So it's a good thing I'm just tapping on the screen to keep it on
2:13
It turned off, so switch to volume up instead. And you don't actually need to do anything else
2:20
Just keep on holding it. Now if the device doesn't turn on in the next five seconds after it turned off, let go of
2:31
the keys and start holding them again. You will see Samsung, then Galaxy, at which point you can let go of the keys and wait
2:40
for the recovery mode to show up. And there we go. So in this mode, we will need to use volume keys to navigate through the device, or to
2:49
the options. And additionally, you can also unplug the cable, because it's not needed anymore
2:56
So using volume keys, we can navigate. Like I mentioned, volume down will go down and up will go up, obviously, and power key
3:02
will be used to confirm whatever is selected. So with that in mind, select wipe data, factor reset, confirm it, factor data reset, confirm
3:12
At the bottom, you'll see data wipe complete. Reboot system now will be selected by default
3:16
So power key once again, this will initiate a reboot. And it will take it about a minute or so to finish up
3:22
Once it has, we will be presented with Android setup screen. So I'll be back once that is visible
3:43
And as you can see, the process is now finished, and you can set up your device however you like
3:48
And if you found this very helpful, obviously, don't forget to hit that like button, subscribe
3:53
and thanks for watching
