device through recovery mode and also get rid of a screen lock if you have one that

I do have a pattern set and I'm going to progress from the lock screen as though I don't know my pattern

To actually get started we'll need to do a combination of keys to forcibly shut it off

because if you normally try to turn it off with a lock screen it will tell you that you

need to confirm the pattern or PIN, password, whatever it is the case for you

So we're going to hold power key and volume down, you want to light up the display just

so you can see it, and once the device turns off you will switch from volume down to volume up

So I'll start right now. It's turned off so I'll switch to volume up

There we go. So once you see the Galaxy logo let go of the keys and this will boot you into the Android

So from here, from the recovery mode you want to use volume keys to navigate in order to

scroll down and select wipe data factory reset and then confirm it with power key

Again select factory data reset, confirm that, give it a second it will give you a message
