Welcome. In front of me is a Lenovo Tab Xtreme and today I will show you how you can boot this device into safe mode
0:10
So to get started you want to hold your power button and when you see your boot options hold power off
0:16
As you can see this changes into reboot to safe mode with a quick message Do you want to reboot into safe mode? This will disable all third-party applications
0:24
that you have installed and they will be restored when you reboot again
0:29
Click on OK. Now once the device boots up like the message stated
0:35
any application that you have installed will be temporarily turned off. Now this also will extend to applications that you didn't install like the ones that for instance came
0:44
installed on the device by default. Though those will be very few in between I believe
0:50
We'll see in a second. So once this device boots up obviously it will be in safe mode. Now for people that are wondering
0:57
this mode is designed for troubleshooting your device. If you have some kind of problem with it
1:01
maybe you installed some kind of malicious application that is causing you problems, and you can't use your device
1:07
properly. Maybe you can't get rid of that application. You can boot it into safe mode and this would resolve this problem
1:13
Additionally if you have some kind of problems maybe with your device where it's acting up in a weird way
1:18
and you don't know if this is the device or maybe like I said some malicious application
1:22
you could also boot it into safe mode and if said a problem persists in this mode
1:27
that means that it's more fault of the hardware rather than whatever software you have installed
1:34
Now let's see there's okay so on here Lenovo decides to hide the applications that you have installed that wouldn't work
1:43
So you can see there's massive amounts of empty space right here. There used to be applications on here and on presume here as well, and if we also pull up our
1:53
little app tray you can see that there is no third-party applications whatsoever
1:58
There are installed applications which I can showcase really quickly by going into the settings
2:05
right here, and we can navigate to apps. Let's give it a second
2:16
And you can see we already have couple that won't show up on the home screen or app tray
2:21
There is another one, another one. So you can see there is installed applications
2:26
Now if you wanted to get rid of some kind of applications that is causing you problems you can do so from the settings and app section. Find it in here and then tap on it
2:35
Let's actually find one that I can get rid of. So you can tap on it and then select uninstall right here
2:40
So there we go. Now once you're done with this mode and you want to go back to the normal one
2:44
hold your power button once again and this time around all you need to do is just select your reboot button and once the device
2:49
boots up it automatically goes back to the normal mode. With that being said if you found this very helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks for watching
