Welcome, I'm Ferdinand Mizet, TCL Nextpaper 10S, and today I'll show you how you can boot this tablet into safe mode
0:11
So to get started, hold the power key. From here, you want to hold power off
0:19
This will then bring out a window with reboot to safe mode, so confirm it by tapping on OK
0:26
Obviously, this will initiate that reboot, and once the device boots back up, it will be in safe mode
0:32
Now, I'll mention right now that safe mode is usually used simply for troubleshooting your device and solving some kind of problems that are primarily software-based
0:41
So, for instance, if you have installed by some mistake an application, some malicious application that is causing you problems, you can boot into safe mode and easily get rid of it from there, if before you couldn't do that
0:55
Now, the reason for that is because when you boot into safe mode, only the pre-installed application, and not even all of them, will work
1:05
Most of the applications that you have... actually, all the applications that you have installed yourself will be disabled, and you will not be able to turn them on or use them, as long as you are in safe mode
1:16
Obviously, once you leave safe mode, everything will go back to functioning as you are used to it
1:21
Anyway, as you can see, we have the safe mode marking right here, and if I unlock the device, you probably will be able to see a couple apps that won't work
1:32
So, oddly enough, Duo, which is an application that comes with the device, is one of those apps that will not work
1:41
Widgets don't work, as you can see. And we have also a bunch of other apps, which some of them did come also on this page with the device
1:51
I believe Drive did come with the device. Playbooks could have, though I'm not exactly sure
1:59
News, I'm pretty sure it came with the device, but as you can see, these apps are all turned off, so you cannot actually use them
2:07
If you try to open them up, as you can see, it gives you a downloaded apps disabled in safe mode message, so yeah, that's basically it
2:14
You won't be able to use them at all. And you can quickly discern which apps will run and which ones will not, because apps that will not run are just monochrome right now, as you can see
2:26
All these apps are just black and white, while every other app that will work normally still remains looking basically the exact same as it did before
2:36
Now, once you're done with the safe mode and you want to go back to the normal one, all you would need to do is hold the power key and select restart
2:44
So once the device reboots, it will go back to normal mode. So, with that being said, if you found this very helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe, and thanks for watching
