Welcome. In front of me is a TCL 40 SE and today I'll show you how you can copy your contacts from the SIM card to the phone

So to get started, you want to open up your standalone contacts application, which for me it is right over here

Once you have it open, I'm just going to point out before I do anything that I am logged into a Google account

You can see it right here. The reason I'm pointing this out is because when we're importing contacts I'll have two choices where I can import the contacts too

So anyway, let's get started by clicking Fix and Manage and then Import from SIM

And this will then select all the contacts that don't already exist on my device, which that's not necessarily 1, that should be 0 in reality

Because I'm pretty sure this should also be in the device. But nonetheless, as you can see, it automatically selects the Google account so I can tap on this and change it to, for instance, the device instead of the Google account

And that will allow me to import all the contacts because there is no contacts actually present on the phone itself

They're all on the Google account only. So from here I can also deselect contacts that I don't want and from there select Import, which will obviously import all selected contacts

I don't want to back it up. So once we have our contacts imported, when we go back to our contacts, it's still on the Google account so no new contacts will appear here

So I'll just tap on this and then select the new pop-up, which is the device right here
