Welcome, in front of me is a Google Pixel 6a and today I'll show you how you can enable your power saving mode on this phone

So to get started, you need to pull down your notification, expand the list and somewhere here you should find the power saving mode

If it's not on this page, it could be on the second one, but for me it is, as you can see

And this is the default orientation of all the toggles, so hopefully you can find yours in the same exact place

Once you find it, simply tap on it and it will bring up a message that battery saver turns on dark theme and limits or turns off background activities

some visual effects, certain features and some network connections. Now to go a little bit more in depth into this, visual features usually would relate to, for instance, high refresh rate

though this phone has only 60 Hz, so I'm not exactly sure what that would be changing

But for instance, the network connections would be probably one of the most important information right here

So what it means is when you enable this, when you lock the device, it will go into sleep mode and after like several minutes when it's in sleep mode

it disconnects from Wi-Fi and mobile data. It does it to preserve battery, but as a result you won't be getting any kind of notifications that are relying on internet connection

So as an example, applications like Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram and so on

just won't be giving you any kind of info that someone is, for instance, messaging you

Now when you wake up the device again, like it is right now, it will automatically reconnect, so you'll get all your messages in bulk

And I think it also does occasionally reconnect while it's still in sleep mode, so keep that in mind

Now once you're done with your power saving mode, you can turn it off by just finding the toggle, tapping on it again and that's it
