How to Activate Portable Hotspot in OPPO Find X2 Pro – Share Internet Connection

Welcome, in front of me is the Oppo Find X2 Pro and today I will show you how to enable

and set up the portable hotspot. And to get started, let's find the toggle for it somewhere in the notification panel

So it looks like it's right here for me, personal hotspot. Now once you find it, you do want to hold it

If you're doing this for the first time, hold it, this will take you to almost the settings

So you want to tap right here, personal hotspot or personal hotspot settings

And you can change the name if you want to. By default, it's always going to be the name of the device

So in this case, it's Oppo Find X2 Pro obviously. And that is the name of the Wi-Fi that you will be looking for once you enable the hotspot

So that's why you might want to change it or you might want to leave it as it is. It's completely up to you

Now the thing that I do recommend you to change is the password. As you can see by default, it's just some random garbage

So let's just remove this one and set our own. Now it does need to have 8 characters in length at which point you will be able to save it

And below that we also have IP band. So we have 2.4 or 5 GHz

And with this one, I do recommend you to at least try the 5 GHz one

This is something completely different than the 5G capability of the mobile networking

This is strictly for Wi-Fi and it's been out for way longer than the 5G that we have right now

And the reason why I recommend you to try it out is because the Wi-Fi connection on

the 5 GHz one will be faster and more stable of a connection comparing to 2.4 GHz

But the downside is not every device might support it. If you're using some outdated device, some old computer or maybe some old phone to connect

to this hotspot with, then if it simply doesn't see your created hotspot by whatever name

is right here for you, then that just means that it doesn't support 5 GHz

And all you need to do is just go back here and change it back to 2.4 instead and it should

work just fine at that point. So anyway, from here make sure you save it

Now I did actually realize we do have also option for Wi-Fi 6, but at this point I'm

not sure if it's worth even mentioning. Not very many devices support Wi-Fi 6, but if you want you can try it out

So this will basically make the Wi-Fi even faster, but like I said, this is a relatively

new technology, so fairly limited amount of things are supporting it right now

So anyway, let's save it and from here you can simply find the toggle, tap on it to turn

it on and this will enable your hotspot. And once you're done with it, make sure you turn it off, otherwise you will be using your

phone's battery for no reason, because it does use more battery. So yeah, tap on the toggle, turn it off
