Welcome. Infanomemy is an honor X8 and today I'll show you a couple tweaks and the tricks you can do on this device
0:10
So to get started we're going to open up our settings and in here we can navigate starting off to the home screen and wallpaper which will give you a bunch of different settings for customizing the look and feel of your device and more
0:24
specifically your home screen. So we have things like the themes in here which obviously gives you a bunch of pre-made
0:29
ones this kind of changes just how the icons look like and home screen wallpaper and
0:35
funds but you can obviously change most of this on your own so we have things like
0:41
wallpaper we have icons which allows you to change different icon packs and i believe if you
0:45
download new ones from like play store they should appear and here as well and give you the
0:49
choice to select those instead and we also under that have the home screen settings
0:55
so here we have things like google discovery so basically this page right here. If you don't like it, you can turn it off in here
1:05
And we'll also have the layout right over here on the top
1:11
So here you can change the layout of the icons or the grid more precisely
1:17
So this will shrink the icons just a little bit and fit more of them on your home screen Or it actually doesn look like it shrinks them to be honest But if you want a more compact feel of it you can just customize it in here And the thing to keep in mind as you can see I have more icons right here while the bottom
1:35
bar, the one that doesn't change when you scroll through pages, hasn't changed
1:40
But you can actually add more in here now that we can actually fit more
1:46
Now moving on to the next option is going to be the dog
1:50
dark mode under the display so here should have it somewhere where is it dark mode
1:57
there we go so we can enable it for some reason we have enable all day or schedule so see under
2:04
schedule so we have just a custom like timer typically we also have the sunset to sunrise
2:10
but here just either enable all day or my custom timer of your choice uh so obviously if you want
2:17
to dark mode you can enable it in here it will just give you this block look uh everything I probably would recommend selecting the schedule one and this will
2:24
give you basically the best of both worlds dark mode isn't as visible during the
2:30
daytime outside and like during summer for instance so having it on schedule
2:35
be a significantly better option rather than having it permanently in dark
2:40
mode and obviously during the night time I probably don't want to get flash
2:44
banked by your device moving on we have the screen on a screen a the system navigation And that is located under the system and update right at the top system navigation
2:58
And here we can switch between gestures, which is what I have been using for this entire time, or button navigation
3:05
So select whichever one you prefer more. Now, when it comes on to gesture navigation, we also have settings for it
3:11
And here we have show navigation bar. So this will add this little bar at the bottom to just kind of indicate that it's there
3:18
Not really sure what else it does apart from just a visual indication
3:24
It's not really animated or anything like that, so it's not really affecting anything
3:29
Now, apart from that, we also have right here the Google Assistant
3:33
So this is one of those things that I personally like to turn off. If you ever activated Google Assistant Navigation by just swiping up in a weird way
3:41
You can then just swipe up at an angle. There we go
3:47
And as you can see, it opens up Google Assistant. So if you don't like that, you can actually toggle it off in here
3:52
And now it won't pop up at all, which I do personally prefer
3:59
Now, moving on to the next option will be the little bar on the side, which there we go
4:08
As you can see, you have gesture navigation. This is no matter if you have just to navigation. this is no matter if you have gestures or not but it kind of works a little bit differently with the gestures If you don have them you automatically swipe up the panel but if you have gestures
4:22
as you will see, you start pulling them out, and it is at the beginning and arrow, and then switches to this kind of like square
4:29
And once you let go, it opens up this panel. And here we have a couple applications that will be just added by default
4:36
but you can customize this by tapping on the plus and adding your own application
4:41
Once you have done so Assuming the app can be opened up in this pop-up view assuming the app can be opened up in this kind of manner
4:50
Another app will have this option so keep that in mind But once you have this I can just move it around
4:57
If you grab it correctly we can maximize it minimize it which will minimize it into an uphead as you can see
5:03
You can move that around as well Cool it gives us notifications that can swipe it down to close it and
5:11
And you can have other applications open and still access this and use two different apps
5:18
at the same time in this kind of pop-up view. So there we go
5:23
Now with this being said, if you found this very helpful, don't forget to hit like
5:29
subscribe and thanks for watching. I'm
