Welcome, Antonio Mizey, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and today I'll show you how to perform
0:13
a hard reset of the device in order to remove a screen lock. So as you can see there is a screen lock on this device and to begin we're gonna just
0:19
start with powering off the phone, so hold power key and then select power off
0:25
Now once the device shuts off we'll hold power and volume down both together, so let's do that now
0:37
Once you see the Asus logo you can let go. And as you can see we're now in recovery mode
0:48
Now right now on this phone it's super tiny, I don't know why, but normally it's a little bit bigger
0:53
Hopefully you can get a clear visual of what is on there
0:58
But to basically navigate to this menu we'll use volume keys up and down and confirm whatever
1:05
we select with power. So with that in mind select wipe data factory reset, which is selected right now, and confirm
1:12
that with power key and then select yes, so volume down and power and then you get a formatting
1:20
data at the bottom and then data wipe complete right here in a tiny little wording
1:25
And back in recovery mode reboot system now should be selected by default so all you need
1:30
to do now is just press power and the device will reboot and continue the hard reset of
1:35
the device in the background. So it will take a little bit longer, just be patient
1:40
And I'll be back once the setup screen is visible. And as you can see now the process is finished and we can set up the device
2:02
Now I'm going to go through the setup really quickly. So I'm going to skip most of the things just to get into the home screen as quick as possible
2:09
so I can show that there is no more lock screen and the phone is usable
2:21
And we're at the home screen
2:34
And if I lock the device, you will see there is no more lock
2:38
So that is how you remove a screen lock through a hard reset
2:42
And if you found this very helpful, don't forget to hit like, subscribe and thanks for watching

And I'll see you in the next video
